In the last 4 classes according to 247.   Some UT fans over at Volnation are pointing to this as proof we do actually have some talent for Pruitt to work with this season.  I am not sure they are taking in to account attrition and the fact Butch did not seem to be recruiting what we needed, just guys with a lot of stars.  I still think it will be 2-3 years before we see some depth in Knoxville.

247 will update it sometime over the when the final rosters start to gel.

My 2 cents....

1. UT is really low in number of bodies.  There is no depth.
2. UT lacks playmakers.  I think there is enough basic players, but game changers are missing.  The players that left after the 2016 season were great, but there was no one to fill their shoes in 2017.  That transfer QB needs to be solid and he needs weapons.

fwiw, I think the offense will be a lot better simply because of the new OC.

I agree completely.  I am a little worried by the unrealistic Tennessee fans.  Some already are saying we will be competing for the east next season.  That type of crazy talk considering we are coming off our worst season ever and lost most of the playmakers from that awful team is going to lead to disgruntlement with Pruitt.  I keep trying to remind them how far we have to go at this point and that a .500 season really should be viewed as a huge improvement in 2018.

Anything can happen, but Tennessee is a long way from winning the east with out a lot of luck. Best case scenario is replicating smart's success at uga, and that all happened in year2. I think Pruitt needs some talent so year 3 is more realistic.

It's easy to overlook the situation smart walked into. Pruitt had already installed the system and recruited for it, Richt left him a lot of talent plus a solid recruiting class, and the shitty offense still had Chubb and Michel.

They have more talent than anyone in the east not named Florida or Georgia. They could realistically finish 3rd in the east. They are just unfortunate to have the toughest cross division rival that is a likely L for a while

I would be delighted with 3rd in the East.  That would mean we won the games we were supposed to (UK, Vandy) and knocked out SCar and Mizzou.  I would consider that a very successful 1st year for Pruitt and a massive improvement from last 2 weeks.

If I was (heaven forbid) a Vol fan that would be my expectations honestly. I think that is very reasonable
