The Tennessee fans at Volnation are celebrating this only because they think Finebaum is such a Bama homer and feel betrayed because Finebaum is an UT Alumn.  I actually think this is more of a reflection of the current landscape of sport's media and it supports my narrative that with all the cord cutters the money is running out.  Finebaum may very well work out an agreement in the end with ESPN but I will bet it will be for much less than he is currently getting.  ESPN has been shedding high priced talent for awhile now and lets be honest, there are plenty of young, articulate, former sport's stars looking for jobs who will provide commentary for a lot cheaper.

I have to admit that I barely listen to anything he says, so I'm far from an expert.  But is he a crazy inflammatory character that has run out of juice?  Have we passed Peak Finebaum?

I hope so.  Just another celebration of ignorance in my opinion.
