Great day for football. I will post pics later. Sprint continues to suck here in the stadium. I say we easily have 60+. The bottom half is full and the upper middle sections are about half full. No Cryst today though unfortunately. I guess he can’t play as a transfer.

Pruitt didn't sound happy.

Btw, I'm in Utah at Zion National Park.

Pruitt is going the Saban route. He is going to be unhappy just to be unhappy and utilize that to fuel the offseason workouts. In situations like this, I think he could be sitting in his office with coaches talking about the improvement and potential while making his players feel he is not satisfied with where they are.

Saban is one of the best at this

Yeah, I also think he is calling out some players that he wants to see move on.

Sorry about the delayed response. The game was not reassuring at all. Pruitt realizes he has garbage on the field. Our o-line is awful and JG holds on to the ball too long. McBride was terrible. Cryst can’t get here soon enough. The few passes that actually hit there targets were oftentimes dropped. There was no running game at all which was either due to poor line play or no viable tailback. The only things that looked good was our FG kicker and defensive line, which may have been made to look good by the terrible o-line. Pruitt has s lot of work to do.

That pic I finally got through (I had to email it to myself to shrink it's size so I could posts it) was about 15 minutes prior to the game starting.  That big block of reserved seats filled up by game time which what I would assume were recruits and their families.   Eventually the entire lower bowl, much of the upper seats between the end zones and about half the boxes were full.  I think the estimate of 65k is actually about right (they usually inflate it) which puts us around 3rd in the SEC in attendance.  Not too bad considering we just came off the worst season in school history.

Here are the top attendance numbers from this spring:

2018 SEC spring game attendance
 Rank School Population
1 Georgia 82,184
2 Alabama 74,432
3 Tennessee 65,098
4 Florida 53,105
5 Texas A&M 48,129
6 Mississippi State 36, 789
7 Kentucky  36,090
8 Auburn 28,033
9 South Carolina 25,500
10 LSU 22,000
11 Arkansas 7,000
12 Ole Miss N/A
13 Missouri N/A
14  Vanderbilt N/A
For a comparison, here was last year’s spring game attendance numbers.

UGA is doing some work in one of the endzones that limited the attendance to 82k.  Seems like everyone want to be a Bulldog these days....

Spring practices are over and final exams do not begin until next week, but this week could still turn out to be significant for some Tennessee football players who were the subject of Jeremy Pruitt’s wrath on Saturday.

The coaching staff is expected to conduct exit interviews with each player this week, and if Pruitt’s harsh words after this past weekend’s spring game are any indication, those interviews could lead some to consider transferring, unless they want to sit on the bench in 2018.
Pruitt is about to get medieval...
