UGA and Clemson have signed up to play in the Chick Fil A Classic in 2024.

UGA also agreed to play Oregon there in 2022, and is close to a home and home with Texas.  Me likey!

One more thing, UGA and Clemson have been trying to work out a home and home, and the UGA AD said they were still working on it.  I'd love to see the two teams play a couple of times each decade.  It's a great rivalry.

Georgia and Clemson will each receive at least $5 million from the Peach Bowl committee in 2024 for their season opener, according to a contract provided to The Athletic. It could potentially be more depending on tickets sold by each school.
Big pay out.

This is going to be a new revenue source for programs.   I actually at first thought playing these gigs would cost school's money considering game day revenue when they host but the pennies they can make off cokes in the stadium pales to these payouts.  I became a believer in 2016 when Tennessee was the most profitable team in the SEC even though we sucked thanks to the Battle of Bristol.

I love that Dabo welcomes these games. A&M, Norte Dame, LSU, Georgia all coming up. It’s awesome

All the available tickets are sold to season ticket holders, so UGA doesn't cut the price when they play a neutral site game.  They only miss out on things like concessions.  Same thing happens with the WLOCP.

Yep.  I think coaches like to start with a real opponent to keep the players focused.

btw, UGA is playing in the Chick-Fil-A Kick Off in 2020, 2022, and 2024.  It'll be Virginia, Oregon, and then Clemson.  Virginia is a bit of a snoozer, but the rest should draw national attention.

Merritt, you will like this.  A thread on the Clemson DL has started at Volnation:  http://www.volnation.com/forum/threads/ ... ar.294697/.  It appears Tennessee fans are pretty impressed with your defensive line.
