Anybody else been hearing about this? I've read bits and pieces on FB... apparently CS is going to play 'Dosage' in its entirety at each show (in addition to other stuff) and also some 'new' songs.

Kind of a quirky idea.
oh yeah... all right... are you gonna be in my dreams tonight?

Tour Announcement now live on CollectiveSoul.com

March 12th, 2012
2012 Dosage Tour!

This spring, the chart-topping rock band Collective Soul will begin a national U.S. tour to give concertgoers a much-anticipated treat: they will perform their 1999 platinum album Dosage in its entirety, a fan-favorite that includes major hits like “Heavy”, “Run”, and “Tremble For My Beloved” (which was featured in the Twilight movie and soundtrack, introducing the band to a younger generation of listeners).

The tour is billed as “An Evening With Collective Soul”, and the band plans to make each night unforgettable. In addition to Dosage, they will perform other songs from a catalog that has sold over 10 million albums worldwide and produced seven #1 radio hits during their nearly 20-year career. Those in attendance can expect to hear “Shine”, “December”, “The World I Know”, “Where The River Flows”, and many others.

Perhaps most notably, the band will also premiere some new, never-heard-before tunes that will be included in their forthcoming studio album, which they plan to release in the near future.

Check out the Collective Soul Shows page for more info! The general on-sale for tickets begins near the end of this week, and more dates will be announced soon!

Gah, they're playing Boulder Theater again. That's such an awesome place to see them!!! Now to figure out how to get away during the newspaper deadline...

Bel, I was talking to Tina last night (at the NTB show, which was AMAZING, BTW) about the possibility of doing a two-fer of Dallas and Houston. I'd like to take ONE trip to see them this summer, if possible.

Come on down Dee! I need to see the show with a REAL CS fan like you! :) Your guest room awaits!

Dallas is about a 5 hour drive from here. Iain's birthday is the Sunday show in Dallas and I was asking Dee on the phone (darn remote mountains...we got cut off) what she thought about the VIP package.

What do y'all think? I was all gung-ho at first, and put two VIP from the Dallas and the Houston shows in my shopping cart, but then I saw that TOTAL!! So, do y'all think it's worth it?

It is his BIG 4-0 birthday. They were our second concert to ever see together. (Def Leppard was first) We did choose to get married and attend a CS show immediately after! We did see them for our anniversary last year. We LOVE them! But...I was thinking if we were to buy one VIP package, and I need to hurry before they sell out, should I buy the Houston show, on Friday, then tell one of the guys at the meet and greet, that we will be in Dallas on Sunday and to give Iain a Happy Bday shout out, or just get the meet and greet for Dallas, ON his birthday, and let them know it's his big day? Or ....No VIP at all? AAAGGHHH! I can't decide!

-Early entry to the venue

If they are playing Dosage in its entirety, do you think they are going to bring Ross along to sing Dandy Life? I suspect they may omit that song and just hope nobody notices.

I don't see how they can skip Dandy Life if they're doing the whole album, but I can't see Ross coming back either. Someone suggested (was it you, Bel?) that they'll play it over the house system before the show or something.

Bel, I talked to Brad and she's got work conflicts pretty much the entire tour. <_< So now I'm looking at the two shows near LA the middle of June. I really wish I could come down there, though, or do both! But I'll keep you posted...

They'll probably skip it and most people won't even notice.

It would be funny though if a few people shouted 'Dandy Life!' like they do 'Freebird.'

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

They are playing Chicago and Detroit 2 weeks before my due date. My family always tends to pop early. Think I could give birth at the House of Blues? I'd have to name the kid after a member. I basically have to wait until my doctor appointment the week of to see how close I am to popping. If the baby is still nice and comfy, I'll be at one of those shows at least! This is killing me!!!!!

I had that dilemma in 1996 when I was pregnant with my last son. I wanted to see Hootie and the Blowfish in Irvine, which was a good distance away from the hospital, and my labor had been precipitous with the pregnancy before. Turned out I could have gone. I hope you have good news!

the bad thing about living in virgina beach now is that we're frequently skipped for concert tours. and i'll only be able to travel for a max of two this summer because i just hit a point of training at work where they are very stingy about granting leave. i won't be able to go to this, which is probably the final nail in the coffin for me NEVER seeing collective soul live.

the huge summer festival type thing here i won't even get to go to, but at least that's because i'm going to an even bigger one in charlotte the next day, featuring the same bands plus even more.
