It's a wayward bookstore in not the greatest area, but it has a nice selection. Smith & Stein sells both used and new books to the people on the lower side of the economic spectrum. It's decorated with wooden shelves, and library-esque wall paper, and even has a ladder that slides along a wall. It's selection is acceptable, and they can order what ever you like. The store is broken up into two rooms, Fiction & Biography & Historical Non-Fiction in the main room where the door is located, and Science & Reference & Travel in the adjacent smaller room. Books are relatively cheaper than those sold in more prominent books stores, especially because they sell used.
