...but all you need is a good aftermarket K-member, such as an AJE, and a good set of headers.

...and figure out how much you want to spend/change. If you do an AJE K-member, it will accept almost any engine family out there and you buy it with the mounts to fit the particular engine you're using. The aftermarket K-member will drop weight and free up a ton of room for long tube headers. If you ever want to swap engines later down the road, it will accept SBF's, Modulars, BBF's, etc, etc.

As for the oil pan, Moroso and Canton both make Fox body 351C pans, so you can factor that into your consideration.

Looks like D&D wants $1000 for their long tube engine swap package...

If you compare that against buying the K-member and everything separate, you're looking at around (looking at Summit Racing and Jegs prices) $615 for a set of Hooker headers, $330 for a pan/pickup, then the K-member is around $300.

I have a set of hooker super comps but for a 70 Torino
If I was to get the k member could I use my headers & save some cash?
I have to change the k member to a v8 one that I have but if a new one will let me use my headers I'm in

I've had almost every engine imaginable in a Fox body....5.0, 351W, 460, etc. I know long tube headers are a pain in the booty to get down in the engine compartment and an aftermarket K-member makes it look like you could fit a D9 dozer down in there.

As far as the Torino headers, it's just hard to say until you try...but I'd imagine that it would hit the the transmission tunnel where it transitions down from the firewall.

Had a C6 behind a 460 as a mock-up in one...

Have also had a T5, C4, T-56, TKO, and a Toploader. Some of them were actually driven, some of them were mocked up just so I could figure out which direction I wanted to go.

The C6 is just a big old hog of a trans though...I think I'd go with a nicely built C4.
