Hello guys, I see where Harland Sharp now has 351C/ ford BB specific rockers in the 1.8 ratio under part number S40058,SD40058, or theSH40058. They are basically the same shape as the 4005 1.73 rockers, not the same as the BBC rockers some have used on the 351C. Just wondering if anyone has used these 1.8 rockers in there build, and how they have performed?

Guys, I'm also interested to find out more about 1.8 ratio rockers in comparison to the 1.73, not specifically the Harland Sharp ones but any brand.
Has anyone got some first hand experience with swapping out 1.73 to 1.8 on the same engine combo..?
I'm thinking on the intake side only to get a bit more lift out of the cam.

I don't have any dyno results, but I ran a set of the harland sharp BBC 1.8s on my clevlend. I ran them for 2 weekends and was aboout .01 slower with them. I went back to the 1.73 bbc rockers and got my 10th back. Yes, I purchased a new set of push rods that gave the correct geometry. I wouldn't say that these results are typical, but it was enough to convince me that bigger isn't better.

I put together a cj iron headed 557 for a friend and we put those on the exh. side. Alot of bbf ford guys are using them to help the intake to exh flow. Can't say if it made. a diff from1.73 but that engine made big power.

Because even though we got away with BBC 1.73's back in the early 80's

for the same money nowdays you can buy the correct geometry.
