i am at a point in life where my loss of eyesight[cataract and glaucoma in left eye
has left it blind] is costing me jobs and with no insurance
only way to afford surgery is to sell my ute.
i been using it for a distraction from my woes.

like my toy but might let it go
any ideas?

Sell the Ute, as you said, not having good vision is costing you an income. Get the surgury, and get you vision back, so you can make an income to support your car hobby.
Sell the Ute to a friend or someone with plans for it. I did this and he finished the car, wich at the time I could not afford to keep, I became friends with the new owner and watched the car get finished. It was a win, win.

Is it just me or do I think that car guys take better care of their cars than themselves.
I need to get a molar fixed, but if I suddenly came accross $600 there would be a new Holley 750 hp carb on my car.
I say sell that car, and I am going to the dentist in 2 weeks.

I think its important to have good eyesight so when you're pouring drinks you don't miss the glass and spill any on the counter.

Better chance of catching women when you chase them if you see them too!

You can always buy another car. Or maybe one of them women will give you a ride ....

If it comes down to picking up women with bad eyesight, or selling the car, sell the car,

your buddies will take pictures, and sooner or later you'll get your vision fixed.

Then your buddies will pull out those old photos...

needless to say, It won't be purdy sight!
