If you get a chance bitch at them for me too jim, First you send big bucks just to get the system, Then a bunch more for a few worthless games, Then some more so you can get a remote so it will pay dvds. Plus mine will not play some of my dvds, I get the dvd error thing alot
I bought the First and second dvd to soul hunter, but once i got the third one it would not work on the xbox(I returned it like 3 time allready). Plus a I tryed my some of my vcds and they do not work too. I just go the mag, Should I even try the disk in my xbox or just flush it!!!

Huh? What error thing? The only one I've gotten is the "dirty disc" one described above, and I've never gotten that on the dvds. And last I heard, the only one that has problems with the XBOX is the Snow White DVD, which is far less than Sony's list of DVDs that are incompatible with the PS2. If that one dvd keeps giving you errors where others aren't, send them an email about it, or look and see if others are having the same problem.
As far as VCDs go, they do NOT play on the XBOX. Period. Same with the PS2. They aren't supposed to, so its no error on their side.
And about the remote, they did that as a seperate option to skim on costs on the system. If the DVD playback was built-in to the system, they'd have to pay a license fee for every system built/sold. But by requiring the remote, they only pay that fee on every remote sold.
