jim a while back like about 5 months i think they had a poll on toonmai asked pplz what anime they wanted and nge was on the list I am like a hunter of peace, that searchs for the Elusive Mayfly Called Love's This world is made of love and peace
I'm sure it was, but they're talking about how the have to edit out any references to "God" or anything out of ANY series they show. That would kinda cut out most of Eva, wouldn't it?
after they do they cutting all there going to have is like a bunch 10 min eps.I am like a hunter of peace, that searchs for the Elusive Mayfly Called Love's This world is made of love and peace
sorta like The Sopranos on PAX sketch they had on MAD TV a while back.
if you haven't seen it, the sopranos airs on pax, but it's edited to hell. this leaves a very broken up 3 minute episode of the sopranos. very funny.

"Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music."
-Kristian Wilson, Nintendo Inc. 1989
one more thing, after all that cuting, anyone who watchs it on toonmai is not going to understand it, or get the means out of nge. And plz just think it another junkee anime show. I said it once and i say it again. cn ruins anime for everyone.I am like a hunter of peace, that searchs for the Elusive Mayfly Called Love's This world is made of love and peace
The point of the interview was to show Toonami's own edit processes, not what they can air, but how they choose to filter their own projects. Their OWN projects.
Should another company filter Eva for a pg-13 audience, remaining within the lines of the main sensory code, Toonami can very well air it even if it contradicts some of CNs personal codes.
But will they? Prolly not.. least not until after 10pm. They would get too many complaints, because parents expect them to be responsible for what their children watch on TV. And you KNOW they would recieve thousands of complaints concerning the religious aspects of Eva alone...
I'm still amazed that toonami is airing anime, and actually think I've been proven wrong in what I said a few months ago. I knew a network would choose their own standards due to viewer input rather than the conglomerative sensory codes when it comes to animation, anime being no exception. And I honestly thought Toonami would fail because of this... because they wouldnt be able to find enough content. It's costly to edit things themselves, as stated in the interview... so now I'm hoping for all the sakes of you Americans, that they stop with the 9pm is 4pm logic and start being more loose with what they'll show durring prime time, and even afternoon lineups.
And I'm also hoping YTV will get their damn hands on some series... because I'm really tired of CN not sharing their own edits.
And I bet PETA would be all over Penpen.
Ren... as always, not constructing her posts properly.
