You got that email too I guess.
Hopefully this is good news, although, with no details about the disc, nothing can be certain. Regardless, I've got it preordered.
I've got a fansub of it, but I want the dvd cause it's obviously gonna be better quality. Plus I want the dubbed version so my little sister can watch it.
Hm...while nothing has been confirmed, there are fairly credible stories popping up about this disc.
At this point, sings are pointing to a pan & scan, English-language only, bare bones disc. In other words, catering to the 6 year old kid and not the film buff. Nothing is preventing Fox (not Disney, apparently that evil empire won't gain the rights to it until 2004) from doing tis right except their overall lack of care.
There's nothing to stop them from releasing a bi-lingual DVD, or even one with both the original aspect ratio and pan & scan version. There's nothing to stop them from including SOME extras to go along with the disc, even if they are kid-oriented.
Obviously we'll learn more as Fox makes the specs officially known, but at this point, I wouldn't even be surprised if the master they're using for the DVD is the same Beta copy they used for the VHS.
