Anime. Someone talk about anime because I am very bored this evening. Note *anime* and not hentai.
The last thing I watched and really liked was Haibane Renmei. Am I turning in to a wuss? What is everyone else watching/desiring to tell me all about in *anime*?

      I don't know if you're turning into a wuss...but sure, I'll agree with that.
Hm...I haven't really seen any anime lately, but I'll be checking out Laputa for the first time when the three Miyazaki DVDs come out in another week here.

Let's have an anime conversation that doesn't turn to Miyazaki. :D
What did you think of Haibanei Renmei? I'm neck deep in Pita-ten myself, and Nanaka 6/17. I finally got my hands on Arcade Gamer Fubuki, but the first ep was such a disapointment I didn't want to watch anymore.not allowed

I loved Haibane Renmei to pieces. I sat and watched the last seven eps in one go because I was so addicted to it. It *is* the bastard lovechild of Ico and Laputa, I'm telling you...it's so pretty.

I'm very behind the times. Last anime I finished were Azumanga Daioh, the Ah! My Goddess movie, and the Cowboy Bebop movie (theater release, English dub, very nice).
Deciding whether to work through Noir, Abenobashi, or maybe Saikano right now.---

I loved both Noir and Abenobashi.
I'd never seen anything quite like Noir before, so I found it refreshing for a change. Nice complicated plot, interesting characters, awesome music.. I really enjoyed it!
To really enjoy Abenobashi, you need to have seen a fair bit of anime and understand a few basic stereotypical genres. I lent the series to a friend, and he didn't "get" many of the jokes.. shame, coz I found it hilarious.
Watch both. You should cruise through Abenobashi quickly, Noir might take a little longer depending on how deeply you get sucked into the plot. (it gets a little slow in the middle)MRk MRK n FnK Mz
