That's no fun. You need to have FUN while pissing them off.
Sometimes I don't even bother, but many times I do, and it just drives them batty. Sometimes I'll just play the "I'm lonely, please chat with me" routine, other times I'll fake something like a heart attack or home invasion, which tends to scare them silly.

i remember over the summer i had a conversation with a telemarketer from at&t. "does at&t make you read off a script over there?" "they have scripts for some people" "oh so you don't read off a script? you just make it up yourself?" "yeah i come up with my own stuff" "wow that's great, you should be a screenwriter. you sound hot. can i call you back sometime?" and i hung up. true story. good times.
