    Has anyone played the demo for this game yet?
    Someone at Rage3D ran a benchmark with the demo, his average FPS was only 68.
    His specs were:
    P4 3ghz
    1024MB DDR380 RAM
    Radeon 9700PRO
    The benchmark ran in 640x480.
    This game is going to kill a lot of frames.ATI - Driving the chemical reaction revolution

      That's exactly why I don't give a fuck. :D I can play shitty survival horror Doom 3, or I can play UT2k3. Hmmm...one is a bastardized retelling, the other is a fast-paced action game that doesn't bogart every fucking resource in my computer....which do I want to play? :o You know, iD should just include an infinite loop in the code for those who actually try to run the game, you know, screw their fans that much more. :Dnot allowed

            well apparently doom 3 works very well on nvidia cards. and ive seen it running on my friends computer with a smooth frame rate at 640 x 480 on his gf 3 1 ghz comp. i havnt got it because quite frankly i wasnt really interested.

                  Seems like it crashes when you try to play single player.
                  Jim is right, this is barely alpha.
                  If you open the console, you can run commands that will let you do stuff with it. Check for a site with commands for Doom3. I know MadOnion and Rage3D fourms have a list of them.
                  If you want to run a benchmark, type "timedemo actvate_demo1.demo". But do not exspect to see anything... I had to overclock to 270/230 (from 198/19 to see any motion. And it was barely motion.

                    Yea, dont worry I found it on irc. But im haveing troubles with it. During the first level I cant seem to enter the 2nd door without a werid error coming up.
                    Also, I cant seem to get on level 2-3, nor can I see the opening intro or the bathroom level ("map fred/e3bathroom5" in console)
                    The 2 rooms I can see play really solid on my computer thou. REALLY impressed. Is there anyway to make a zombie stay down thou? Once or twice falling down is cool but this is kinda werid after shooting one three times with the shotgun. And where the hell are you fists with the brass knuckles?! :P I want the stupid face at the bottom of the screen too! This aint Doom! Its fu***** Resident Evil on Mars. Whoo-ho :P At least it looks sweet.
