Bisexuals somewhat puzzle me.. I guess only knowing 1 REAL bisexual person doesn't help too much! I personally think that many bi guys are really gay guys who feel that being "bi" isn't quite so bad as being "gay".. that statement kinda does come from experience, heaps of bi guys try to pick up guys online behind their girlfriend's back. disturbing or what? hrmm..
Miso: no! my parents dunno yet. Yet being the key word in that sentence.. the thought of telling them scares the shit outta me. they are pretty religious and uptight about that kinda stuff. my sexual orientation goes against my religion basically, which is pretty shitty for me hey. but as far as i can see, my sexuality wasn't my choice, it was bestowed upon me. so i can't really understand why i should be punished for it.. *shrugz*
doraemi: good luck trying to "turn" a gay guy straight. i really don't think we have too much control over our sexuality, we just make do with what we're given. guys dont "turn" gay, so i dont see how u could "turn" one around!

I guess this week's topic is "sexuality", so I might as well chime in.
See, my perspective is somewhat opposite. I think I understand a bisexual mentality just as much as a straight or gay one. Its that "best of both worlds" sorta deal for them. I would assume that most bisexuals would prefer one choice over the other, but also enjoy either side enough to be considered bi. Perhaps some male bisexuals are uncomfortable with admitting their homosexuality and use that as a shield (as you pointed out), but I wouldn't think they all shared that line of thought.
Good luck if you do decide to eventually inform your parents regarding this matter. That's certainly not an easy thing to do, especially if you do come from a relatively conservative or religious family.

I'm not saying that there is no such thing as a bisexual person, because I do know at least one who I would consider to be pretty genuine. But I do think that many of the bi guys out there are really gay and just have difficulties admitting it.
Yeah, parents are always gonna be a tough one. Them being conservative/religious just makes it a few times messier. Hopefully I won't have to give too much away until I'm able to support myself if the worst case scenario unfolds.. Thanks for the warm wishes though! MRk MRK n FnK Mz

Goodluck dude. But really, there isn't a hurry is there? You have better things to focus on, like studies etc. Just keep chillin' like you are now. As with bi's i don't know any, and bumz, you're the closest person i know to be gay. I don't really see what the fuss is all about, stop acting like you're so special now :P

LOL! umm.. it's really not that great..
..besides the fact that I had the greatest day out with him today in the botanical gardens.. it's actually getting worse since I've met this guy, coz it makes me wanna tell my parents so much more now. but I kinda know it's not the right time for them yet.. trying to manage a relationship when your parents don't even KNOW you're gay is tricky >_<
finding the time to see him is hard enough.. then thinking of the excuses to get outta the house?! geez.. I just want this all to be over! I'm so sick of not being honest with my folks.. it's just shitty..
so yeah! partially coming out has had its ups and downs.. right now I'm just trying to figure out how fair it is to put poor tim through all this.. *sighs*MRk MRK n FnK Mz

Yah Bumz, while I understand that it'll be hard to break this to your parents, I don't see how it'll be hard to "hide" it either. You're going out, with a friend, period. Its still telling the truth, and still doing what you want.
