I want windows media player 9 to catch monkey pox

Tis time for me to bitch, I need help.
I beginning to hate windows media player 9 with a passion, no matter how hard I try it still fucks with everything. And the stupid robot Microsoft e-mail answering machine for media player help isn't making me feel any better.
Its like if someone just got shot and his friend next to him is asking the steps and procedures on how to dial
9-11. Microsoft help rises again!
Anyway, the only real reason that I updated to wmp9 was for the new Halo 2 video (direct feed E3 trailer) In which I promptly wasted 30 mins of my life trying to figure out how to play a video in fullscreen without the fucking player options. Fun, fun.
But my massive complaint is this. I just got to games recently both share the same problems, some old games seem to be infected too. Each time a PC game has a FMV, or a cutscene that requires video play back. *POW*, it runs the video at 0-3 frames per sec or my favorites: locking up video altogether.
I don't know if this is media player, but with all the shit I've gone thru it recently I'm sure it is.
THERES NO FUCKING UNINSTALL FOR THIS.
I feel like I'm going to slam my head into a wall, Lord Vidiot needs aid. Help Lord Vidiot.

Doing a quick search... If you have win98 just use add/remove programs. If you have ME or XP, yer fucked, and will have to system restore back to before installing it. But that doesnt completely remove it...
Or so it seems.

Hunh. I suppose this is one of the times I should be grateful that Microsoft hasn't gotten around to updating WMP for Mac since 2001.
Shitty compatibility and optimization > program takes over your computer and reams every facet of your system.---

A) Either it took me two seconds to remove any controls on full-screen playback, or I never had any in the first place. I don't have any sypathy for you in that area.

B) Bungie posted a QT version of the same file, so you didn't "have" to download WM9 to play the video.
C) You can also download the WM9 codecs WITHOUT downloading WM9. My P4 machine has WM9 installed, but this one just has the just codecs, so both can play WM9 content. Hell, the codecs probably will (and should) work even with an older version of WMP like 6.x or 7.x
D) Of course MS doesn't want you to uninstall it. I can't believe you're shocked.

E) Not sure why your machine is having problems with other videos after installing WM9, but if it IS a WM9 issue, it may be related to some hardware/software acceleration settings. Poke around and do some tweaking.
F) Cingular Wireless can burn in hell.

G) My biggest complaint with WM9 was after installing it on my P4 machine, all of the audio codecs (including MP3, and aside from WM of course) seemed to have disappeared. Kinda wish I had a ghost or image of my HD before installing it, although Lame reinstalled without a problem.
H) I'm just rambling now, so...yeah.
