wow. i finally took the time to check out the videos for this, and all i can say is wow. i've been looking forward to this game ever since i got an xbox and heard about this.
i don't know if there are any rally fans here. personally, i'm a big fan of petter solberg (one of the subaru world rally team drivers), but colin mcrae is pretty good, too. i like how they took mcrae's real life co-driver nicky grist and had him give his voice to the game. it just adds to the realism.
27 september. that's when this will be out. good stuff.

I didn't realise you guys watched rallying over there. I thought it went in to the Formula One box of things-that-are-only-really-popular-outside-America. My dad is a big fan.

oh no way, i find most closed circuit racing to be terribly boring.
i have digital cable, and the speed network (channel 200) airs the FIA WRC every thursday-sunday. like i said, i'm a big fan of Petter Solberg (and Phil Mills) of Subaru fame. he was here in SoCal a while back for some racing event, and I wanted to go to get an autograph but it was too far away.
i was so happy to see him get a podium on the rally finland. 3rd place, pretty good, especially since he's been having bad luck lately.
so is your dad a fan of any specific driver?

Most people who like rallying here like Colin McRae because he's British, but my dad is more just a fan of the whole thing. They don't cover it as much as we'd like here though...half an hour once a week on normal tv, then specials on cable when there's anything really interesting happening. I do F1 more myself, but that's been sucking pretty chronic since virtually all Schumacher's competition got eliminated. I really don't get US closed circuit racing though...it just seems even more long and pointless than F1 is getting.

            haha
wow, i thought it would get more airtime there.. here on speed channel, the WRC gets its own 1 hour show for each leg, and then there's rally xtra which shows an overview of all 3 legs, plus more interviews and stuff, then rallyxs gets its own show.
i wish rallying was more popular here. there's the SCCA (u.s. rallying) but i saw it and it just doesn't compare to the wrc

I think if you've got digital tv you can see more of it, but we've only got one sports channel on cable and it kinda tries to show a lot of different motorsports. It's interesting, but the coverage ends up being a bit patchy most of the time.

Coverage in Australia of rally is pretty shocking too. Not even a weekly thing.. only the special events make it to normal air.
F1 is all the rage here, and V8 supercars.. ^^
F1 is always a bitch, waking up at 3am to watch it.. hardly worth the effort anymore with the quality of the last few races. It's been going downhill huh?MRk MRK n FnK Mz

Hehe, oh yeah...*all* the races are on at three am for you, aren't they? We get annoyed about the Aussie and Japanese ones, having to get up in the middle of the night to watch them, cause they're usually on about one in the afternoon over here. If I had to get up at three am for every race I really wouldn't bother...it has gone seriously downhill recently.

baaah.. exactly. they used to put motogp on at 11pm, now its ridiculous at 1am to 2am. on a school night? F&^# that..
Sunday is the day for most motorsport coverage. it really depends on what event happened during the week. right now channel ten has 1hr of WRC, 1hr of RPM which is just mix of whatever, and 2hrs of V8. starting from 12:30 here at brisbane.
Sunday is always a good day for sports, SBS has a massive day of soccer/football on as well. but since sbs shows it. it's SOCCER BEFORE SEX. (aussie ppl will understand =) ) visit red blog!

Those foreign films are just ... strange! I love how the majority don't have ANY speech for the first, say, 15 minutes of the film. Very art-house.
And then the porn kicks in..... MRk MRK n FnK Mz
