Someone, please say that this is not right. I heard there was people angruy about Twisted Metal Black when it was released in Australia, but this is insane. Is this a stupid fart from GameSpot, or is this true? Anyone from Australia can say something about this?

WTF? ummm.. I've seen it in stores for the past .. err.. how ever long it's been out for! I'll have to check if it is still available. But at last check (last Wednesday) you could still get it for under AU$100 ...

it has been pulled off the shelf indefinately though (i really doubt it'll ever come back)
it wasnt rated, other games have also been pulled off the shelf recently in aus because they werent rated, but they were eventually given an MA15+ and put back on shelf. im not sure about gta3 though
all shops should have suspended sales of gta3 in aus for a while now.. its been banned for approx 7-8 days

Oo my bad. I went to local EB and checked it out.. heheh!
Saw it in a local paper too. But most ppl who like GTA and wanted the Third installment already bought it! it was available for quite a while before they banned it, so I don't really understand why they released it before it was rated.

Hearing that people in Aus have easily lost a kick ass game for the time and getting a crap watered down version of it is hard on my ears. If they can do that over there, I can easily imagine it happening in the US.

Can't believe some countries are so strict about all this... Well we have a rating system too but it's just a formality.
You can easily buy porn when your 14. You can legally buy alcohol when your sixteen but all stores sell it to people who are way younger then that. Want to smoke pot? Go right ahead. Want to buy GTA3? Why don't you let your little, 6 year old sister buy a copy as well....
