Well, it's certainly a change from the traditional Final Fantasy's. To me I like the old medival look, but at times the maps look really plain, and it looks like this one lacks the 'little details' that Square has put into all the other Final Fantasy's. I guess they had to sacrifice a bit of quality because it will be playable online, if it gets TOO detailed then the load times over the internet would just take too long. Really though, it's still far too early to judge anything from it.

The everq- I mean FF.. err I lost count... trailer looked like everq-.. errr asheron's... err... it looked like a computer game anyway. I dunno what to think. I hate online games though, so this might be the first Final Fantasy game I won't play.-Spok-
I know why I don't like online games, is because you have to pay money each and every month in order to play the game online. Play it online for a few months and you will have spent as much money as the game cost in the first place...

Are you talking about the money you are paying to your ISP to be connected. I do not know much (hardly any) games that you need to sign up and pay to play. Console games that are online look like they are going to become a paid service. But almost all PC are free to play online. IF you are talking about the money that goes to your ISP, why not get a unlimited online plan?
I know one game i think im NOT buying. That is sure not a traditional RPG FF. No sirie. Uh uh. CHVLO News will be all over it. Call me a conservative, but i think the old way is better.
