I saw the movie a while before tyou posted this post. It's pretty cool, except that its not like th games itself. They don't go around fighting monsters(actually they do) and level up. They just try to save the world, while facing Phatoms(a.k.a.:ghosts) and the general keeps getting in their wayI DON'T CARE IF I DESTROY MY MIND !! JUST AS LONG AS I SLAUGHTER ALL OF YOU !!!
Ok, I've seen the movie in the theater and I will definitely gonna buy it on DVD. But it's sad to say that the reason I wanna buy FF movie on DVD becuz of its incredible graphics. I had modeling 3D figures before and I knew how hard it is to make a 3d model that has the realistic look like those in FF movie. I really admire Square artists in making FF movie. Anyway, I'm really disappointed with the FF movie's storyline. It is really cheesy. It's very much a Hollywood's plot instead of a real FF storyline. Sure, the movie mentions about Gaia, and its Japanese (in fact, Asian) myth about the Earth. That everything in this planet has life. Well, that's it! Everything else is like a remake of Starship Troopers. After I saw the ending of the movie, I said "huh? that's it?" The ending somehow didn't answer every problem presented in the movie. So in my conclusion, FF movie would really shine if its storyline isn't Hollywood related. Yup, its graphix is already top-notch. So it just needs a little more innovation on the story part. I heard Square is thinking about using Aki for the next FF movie. If this is true, I'm supporting this idea. After all, they had used 20% of their total production time to create her. If I were them, I wouldn't wanna see my hard work wasted.

Re-using characters? Surely that's against the whole Final Fantasy ethic! They never properly re-use anyone, even though the summons are generally the same, Biggs, Wedge and Cid are in most of them and a lot of characters look similar. They never re-use a whole main character though!![]()
