Cowboy Bebop is the only anime, and it goes for an hour from 12 to 1 a.m. The other two hours are filled with the characteristically subpar and frankly repulsive cartoons that seem to have a stranglehold on U.S. animation today. I can't stand those at all, give me Bugs Bunny or a similarly high-quality cartoon anyday.
Oh, and someone should probably move this to the Anime board.---

I don't mean to knock on anyone, but if you're going to watch something as good as Cowboy Bebop, don't tarnish it by watching the dub. Be a real fan and get your hands on the sub.

cowboy bebop is good. i haven't gotten a chance to watch adult swim or whatever it's called, and quite frankly i don't want to. i own the bebop series on dvd, and i don't see the point of watching english dubbed trash on tv.
              So there's my 2.5 :-)

_ANY_ network devoted to showing cartoons, that decide to set up a mature or adult oriented programming slot on some miscelaneous sunday or monday, will wind up canceling it in the near future.
                Trust me, I know this.
They will run out of content faster then you can blink, because they STILL have to meet the standards of what can, and cant be shown on american cable television. Which really sucks.
We have more leaniance here in canada, and they ran out of content. The first couple of months rocked, they showed spice city, ninja scroll, wanda shorts, barefoot gen, wings of honneamise, devil man, grave of the fireflies, superman luk (dont ask me why... it's totally a PG movie), fist of the north star, some other apocolyptic film that had to do with psionics, some misc brittish shit that sucked...
But then, they scratched the 2 hour slots, and just played 30 minutes of macross plus for a while... now I dont think they even have a mature slot at all. I've kinda decided that teletoon does not exist anymore because of that.. ::chuckle::... CHUM should make a cartoon channel... Moses would stay true to it, chee.

Why cant they have a anime network on tv? Just for anime? You would have to request it thou so you can get by "american editing standars crap".

                      RATINGS.
Anime doesn't bring ratings. And especially with most people in the US considering Anime "flashy robots and Pokemon", it doesn't really have an appeal to adults, since its "just a cartoon". Hell, The Simpsons is practically the ONLY successful primetime animated show, all the others failed, no matter how good they were (and others SHOULD fail...what, do we have another season of King of the Hill?)
