Okay, I have a question about RE which I find puzzeling.
While RE is getting remakes and ported over to the GameCube, thegia.com stated that RE: ONLINE was and is part of Sonys online games being released.
Uh, I thought this ENTIRE game series was for GC...
Can the GameCube support online gaming? You would think that the online game would go over to XBOX considering the creator of Resident Evil/Biohazard is so anti Ps2 (for the RE series at least)
So, can GameCube go online, and was this a mistake from thegia.com?

I thought Nintendo was planning on making the GCN go online in the future.
Either way, Resident Evil is just something that wouldn't translate online. Wasn't the whole point for most of it that you were surrounded by zombies and all ALONE? :p

Good point. If they do make it an online game can you imagine what type of gameplay modes there would be? Like killing a bunch of zombies in a certain amount of time with your friends... Uh, yeah that would be rather stupid
Of course there is always the zombie vs. human thing. But that would be stupid too.
How can the gamecube go online anyway?

In the line-up of third party network games, Capcom executive Noritaka Funamizu announced "Biohazard Network " (tentative title) to be released for the PS2. While no specific details were mentioned, the game will be based on a storyline of civilians escaping from Racoon City up to the point of Biohazard3. Capcom will also be releasing Auto Modellista, already announced as a toon shaded network car racing game. Given the track record of videogame movies, I can't imagine it's going to be good. You'd have thought they would have learned their lesson by now... What's the idea behind the RE movie anyway, like, plot-wise?katyjag

Very little, if anything, to do with the actual plot of the games. From what I've heard, a super computer goes nuts. Don't know much else.Every action has the potential to fill or empty one's heart...

Actually, from what I've seen/heard/read, it looks pretty decent. Same zombie story basically, except this time an AI supercomputer goes berserk and gets set to release the T/G/B/whatever-Virus on the whole world. The peoples have to bust in and stop it, SO if the storyline were to be used in a game, it'd be called "RE:Hollywood" or something. Anyways, Milla Jovovich is a great actress, the only thing I didn't like was that off-the-wall-Jackie-Chan-shit she pulled in the trailer. Regardless, they went through the trouble of CG'ing a "Licker"; that's worth the price of admission alone. Don't worry though, someone will manage to find something wrong with it no matter how good or bad it is. =P

Heh, I just read a realy long interview with the director, and I can't remember his name, but he directed "Mortal Kombat" and "Even Horizon". I'm getting excited about this movie, because he's a fan of the series, and they didn't just hand him the job like they did with Romero, he actually had to actively pursue it. So did Mill Jovovish and that chick from "Girl Fight." THey also started off the interview talking about how bad videogame movies were, overall. :P
