I have never ever played a survival horror kinda game in my life. I am a complete newbie to anything like this so I might be talking absolute rubbish, but I just finished Onimusha and I loved it. It's great to see someone doing a decent game with such a cool historical setting. I like the whole samurai thing and it was kinda the main reason I wanted to play the game. I was a bit undecided about whether I'd like it being all slashing zombies/demons/monsters because it's not my thing at all, but after a while it gets addictive. I enjoyed it, it's just a fun game and it looks good too. I was reading a review of it on gamespot or something that called it the survival horror game for people who don't like survival horror. I reckon so. It works for me, anyway. katyjag

To tottaly change the subject :-p :
I was at my friends house a couple days ago, he had a mod chip in his Ps2 and was playing the Japanese version of Silent Hill 2 he downloaded (lucky ^#%@!% bastard) Anyway, I do have to admit it really kicks ass, and its scary as *&#%. While it comes out this Tuesday, I suggest everyone should check it out. Even if you hate survival horror games.

Jim
Hope they fixed the frame-rate issue. The demo I played was only ~20fps, with one area SERIOUSLY dropping down to 4fps.
Yeah, fog, especially volumetric fog takes a bit of resources, but 4fps?

I noticed some slowdown in some parts, but I have yet to experiance 4flps in the game. There is also a werid "grainy filter" that has been placed all over the game. My friend has tried to snag some pictures off of the game but its a little hard. The filter itself seems okay, but I have noticed some times which it is unnessesary... Me and my firend have also not much knowledge of the japanese dictionary, thank god they speak english in the japanese version or we would be lost.
