Spokker Jones
This game is guilty of being a pain in the ass. I spent half an hour in the East Arena and I kept trying to burn that fucking rope with the fire on my stick from the other room. I ran and ran and barely missed getting to the rope in time before the fire would run out. I came back and did this again later. Then I read a FAQ and found the solution and I said to myself, "SPOK IS ONE STUPID BITCH" YOU DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO BURN THAT ROPE!!! You had to do something 100 times simpler. Oh, great being this advanced placement idiot always looking for the hardest answer.
With that said, BUY IT. BUY IT. BUY IT. Few games on the PS2 are even that great. Few games are that great period. This is something vaguely unique and somewhat interesting. I like a lot of games a lot more than ICO. But ICO is still up there as an engaging and sometimes spooky experience. It's an A+ game no doubt. It's short, simple, but captivating nonetheless.-Spok-

Drakkael
Unbelievable ending, wasn't it, vidiot. There's an interesting theory about the part after the credits, want to read it?

Drakkael
It's not.
[MEGASPOILERS, obviously.]
Theory: Ico died, and was reunited with Yorda in the afterlife. This would certainly tie in with the game's mystery and mysticism. It would make sense, here's some reasons...
1) Ico has horns like the Vikings, who put their dead into boats and sailed the ships off to Valhalla.
2) Ico's horns would have a major blood line going through them. Since it is so close to the brain, it would make sense that he would die from loss of blood.
3) It is clear that Yorda dies. It's hard to imagine her making it through the collapse of the castle since she is still in it at the end. Plus, she comes back in "human" form.
4) The beach is usally symbolic of the after life. Avalon and Valhalla, were islands.
