I'm with MoonKnight on the jap styled stick. I hold the stick palm up, cradling the ball. So I don't know HOW to use those American ones properly.. hRmzz.. The Tekken Tag one looks ok, but they said it clicks. Which really does make me think 'cheap'...
I've been trying to find a good one for ages now.. Miso, where did you get yours from? I was thinking of ordering one from HK coz they've got some pretty wicked stylez over there... MRk MRK n FnK Mz

Well, I posed this question in other forums, and several people recommended
www.massystems.com as a place to get quality sticks. Unfortunately, the sticks have American-style handles and a $94 price tag.

Ok, I tried an "American" styled stick at a cheapo Arcade nearby.. o.m.g. I suck so badly..
I'm thinking, if I wanna improve
at all in beat 'em ups, I gotta get me a Jap Styles stick...

oh. i got mine from singapore whilst i was there.. they all get stuff from those hk online shops tho. US sticks are REALLY ew imho. they are so springy and .. blehwq. i actually like the aus joystick standard. like more of a jap stick with a little americanisation into it. its not bad.

About two years ago when i went to do my Christmas shopping, I went to a gamign store and I saw this Tekken2 controller. I was gonna buy it but since i didn't have a job, I was going to wait and hope they'd still have it by the time when i got the money. But when I went back to get it, the store was out of business. So, i went to a cheapo store and bought a plain grey joystick controller that has auto-fire for every button, including the L and R buttons. Where do you guys think i could get cool looking controllers?-Never underestimate stupid people in large numbers. They can do a hell lot more damage than you think.-

Miso, what do you mean by the "Aus Standard"? We have a standard now? hehehe.. I guess the places I play at are mainly Jap machines so I dunno what you're on about. Jap/American mixed? hrmz... what kinda features does it have?
I guess if the ball of the joystick spins freely and the stick itself isn't too long, and the circle the stick is mounted in is completely smooth (ie: no corners), I'm fine..MRk MRK n FnK Mz

well most of the arcades here (brisbane) have small ball (i dunno but small ball head reminds me of US). springs like jap and a really small radius to move.. so eh. its not like the JPN nor US.. so i guess it AUS !! ^_^'

hRmZz.. haven't seen that around Melb.. hrmm.. I'll look around next time I'm out..
Small ball? ugh.. I like big Jap styles ones (better if you cradle) with a really short stick.. small radius is good though.. MRk MRK n FnK Mz
