Interesting, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy has been totally leaked and not many people are talking about it. Sure, its not as revolutionary as Doom 3, but any game leak should at least be reported. If you have Bittorrent client you can get it here: www.suprnova.org have fun.
The first thing to know about Jedi Academy is that its not Jedi Knight III. The game looks the same as Jedi Knight II, but in defense the overall environment looks allot better than the last game. There is also allot less repetition. This is due to the fact that the level structure in Academy is totally different than the linear missions in the last game. In fact even thou this is a mission pack it seems, Raven has gone out of its ways to change a large amount of it.
You probably know if you've been following this game that you can create your own character when you start a new game. But this character you create actually talks in the course of the story. It may not seem like much, but I like this allot better than having a user created character that doesn't speak a line of dialog no matter how insane the situation gets. (ex: Knights of the old republic )
You can also select what type of saber you want in the beginning, to be quite honest I don't see the difference between them. Supposedly you get different ones as the game progresses but I'm just at the Hoth level now.
You select the missions "non-linearly", in other words your brought to a screen inbetween different missions and select which one you want to go to next to continue the story. You can also gain points for different force powers if you want, you can even pick up a couple dark side powers.... hehehe.
Gameplay wise, its Jedi Knight. There have been a couple new animations I've seen, other than that it plays identical to the last game. Thou there have been a couple supprizes, in the Hoth level you fight one of those giant snowmen Luke had fun with in Empire Strikes Back. You can get grabbed by the leg like a ragdoll, then when your upside down you can strike and take the things arm off.
My favorite level so far is like something out of the stupid "B" horror movies and series "Tremors". Your space craft crashes ironically to a crashed space craft you were sent to rescue. You have to pick up replacement parts for your crashed wreck while frantically running around on the sand jumping from debree to debree. Oh and yes, there is a giant sand worm shooting out after you. Fun, fun.
Story is typical Star Wars. Bad cult jedi sucking force powers from places to fight good Jedi. Will your friend get tempted to the dark side? Eh, I don't know. But from the obvious looks of it and his complaining that master Katarn is "holding him back" (uhg, so original) My guess is YES. I honestly don't know yet, I'm still on Hoth
The whole idea of being in a Jedi Academy is brought out pretty good. I don't understand how "students" can kill endless waves of Storm Troopers but I'm not complaining. Its freakin Star Wars
This build has a cracked version for Multiplayer, I haven't played yet. Don't really plan to do so.
There also seems to be some major problems with the first 3 or so levels. Major chugging in terms of frame rate but hey! Its leaked!
What I've played does seem promising, I'm going to probably buy it. Check it out.

i know this is not related to Game Reviews, but how can you make bittorrent download faster? I dance around my computer if the download speed goes up to 30. I don't think it's my connection because IRC still goes like lightning.

Increasing your upload speed should help. Connection also does seem to dictate it to some degree. For some reason, when I tried to use BT with DSL, I never got a download speed of more than a couple kb/s, even though I was uploading around 10-15. When I got cable, my d/l jumped to >80-100 kb/s and my u/l stayed around 20.---
