Yeah it is.. but it's not very expensive, and you don't need to purchess anything :P
9.95 per month, there is always pretty much unique GM-ran quests/events going on, training and skills are typically alot more complex than graphic games allowing for more diversity, tons of people to interact with, yada yada... it's built for a certain breed though; those that like to roleplay, stay in character. You can't run around saying "i r0xorz, kthnx" out loud and stuff, heh.
The only thing it lacks in order to become "the best game of all time" would be graphics, but then tons of shit would be lost if that were to happen. You can, after time, custom build your character to look and act EXACTLY how you envision them to, whereas in a graphic game your sprite is limited in appearance and has few "action" verbs. You can commission a unique portrait for your character that appears whenever another looks at your char, but they are very expensive sadly.
Anyway.. have I plugged it enough? Naw.. another time though.
