on the iq thing, i have the same thing. i'm a smart kid. i'm in honors and advanced placement (college-level) classes, and i skipped a grade, which means i'm performing on a lesser-developed brain (heh) uhh what was my point.. oh yeah i'm in honors classes and ap classes, but i'm only managing to squeak by with marginal grades.. i failed last semester of chemistry honors, though, so i have to retake that to get credits for it.. i'd fail ap american history, but the way burke sets it up, the lowest grade you can get is a D. i'm getting B's and C's in all of my other classes, except for french 3, where i'm getting a B+/A- because it's so easy.
the problem is that i'm a slacker and a procrastinater. i have trouble getting to work. a big turnaround when i had stuff on my report card in grade school saying "always on task"
i know i should get to work because i really want to go to caltech, but i just can't get into that mindset..
just wanted to add my 2 cents in there

isn't that one of the hardest schools to get into nowadays?

leuj: yeah caltech is pretty tough.. i'm starting to doubt if i have a chance in getting in. if not, i'll go to chapman.. i really want to go to caltech, though.. i even have a list of clubs that i want to join, including the caltech anime society :-)
