OMG!#$%! I just hung out with THE COOLEST group of guys...
For anyone who likes a cappella, keep an eye (er...ear?) out for a group called m-pact (kinda like "N'sync", except a cappella, and they've been around MUCH longer than that stupid boy band...)
I now have two of their albums -- autographed! -- from two different concerts, both of which were free, and these guys are just plain cool... They did a Miles Davis jazz number, and if I wasn't sitting right there, watching from the front row -- in utter disbelief and amazement -- I would swear to god they were actually playing real drums, trumpets, saxophones and flutes (even though there were none anywhere).
The best part was: one of the guys remembers me from the Ada County Fair in Boise, Idaho, 2-3 years ago (they're a "Seattle" band, and I was the only Seattlite who just so happened to be in the audience that day), and I caught their show by chance (once again) tonight, so I got to hang out and chit-chat over coffee with this great band. Sweet, huh?
Anyway, if you hear about these guys in your area, go check them out. I don't know if their concerts are always free, or if I just happened to be in the right place at the right time -- twice -- but it's very entertaining and well worth it.
Okie, that's enough from me...you may now carry on with your lives...
