Don't laugh! I really like this new song they play on the radio a lot, and I found out it's by Enya. I don't know what it's called and I can't quite figure out the words, but... all I know is that it sounds pretty darn cool, okay? Anyone know if she has more good songs? I'm looking for mellow, mysterious-sounding music, generally with female vocals like Loreena McKennit's "The Mummer's Dance" or Orbital's "Halcyon + On + On" . . . Any suggestions?

Enya - Orinoco Flow

Let me sail, let me sail, let the Orinoco flow
Let me reach, let me beach, on the shores of Tripoli
Let me sail, let me sail, let me crash upon your shore
Let me reach, let me beach, far beyond the Yellow Sea
Sail away, sail away, sail away...
From Bissau to Palau in the shade of Avalon
From Fiji to Tiree and the Isles of Ebony
From Peru to Cebu, feel the power of Babylon
From Bali to Cali, far beneath the coral sea
Turn it up, turn it up, turn it up up up adieu..uh uh..
Sail away, sail away, sail away...
From the north to the south, Ebudae into Khartoum
From the deep sea of Clouds, to the island of the moon
Carry me on the waves, to the lands I've never been
Carry me on the waves, to the lands I've never seen
We can sail, we can sail, with the Orinoco flow
(We can sail, we can sail, sail away, sail away, sail away...)
We can steer, we can near, with Rob Dickins at the wheel
We can sigh, say goodbye, Ross and his dependecies
(We can sail, we can sail, sail away, sail away, sail away...)
We can reach, we can beach on the shores of Tripoli
(We can sail, we can sail, sail away, sail away, sail away...)
From Bali to Cali far beneath the coral sea
(We can sail, we can sail, sail away, sail away, sail away...)
From Bissau to Palau in the shade of Avalon
(We can sail, we can sail, sail away, sail away, sail away...)
We can reach, we can beach, far beyond the Yellow Sea
(We can sail, we can sail, sail away, sail away, sail away...)
From Peru to Cebu feel the power of Babylon
(We can sail, we can sail, sail away, sail away, sail away...)
(We can sail, we can sail, sail away, sail away, sail away...)
Sail away, sail away, sail away...

I actually kinda like Enya's songs . My favorite of all time would be the one that Bumz listed the words to, it is one sweet song!!! Angelique, I think the "new" Enya song that you are talking about is the song "Only Time". It's a pretty cool song, and I really like the music video that goes along with it. It starts out "Who can say...la la la la(forget this part)....only time". Anyway, hope that helps you....
EDIT: If you like Halcyon On and On by Orbital, try getting "DWR BDR", it has female vocals sorta like Halcyon, plus it sounds sorta haunting too

You'd probably like "Book of Days" by Enya, it's a pretty spiffy song (and alot better then that sail away song ::whistle: ... lesse, mixes between orbital and enya...
Blue Skies by BT ft. Tori Amos.
Host of the Seraphim by Dead Can Dance
As the Bell Rings the Maypole Spins by Dead Can Dance
Aria by Delerium
Song to the Siren by Sabel
Le Sens Du Sens by Paul Haslinger
Harry's Game by Clannad
I dunno... the Dead Can Dance stuff might be a bit of a stretch... Halcyon + on + on is classic for a reason, it would be hard to be influenced by it without duplicating it. Bleh, I dunno... enjoy!

---------REVISION REVISION----------
Okay, after a moment of thought, maybe to add onto Blue Skies you'd want to check out the next track on the Ima album, delphinium days, cause it's a bit more ambient and less rockabye...

Actually, right now im playing The Thrillseekers feat. Sheryl Deane - Synaesthesia and that has some pretty mad female parts. the 'fly away.. fly away.. fly away' bit.. hehe! not really that mystical or anything, but some nice bass.

Okay, I have some chilled tunes for you. But be sure
to check these out because I think you'll like them.
Especially a tune from Anjali called Lazy Lagoon. Look I'm so generous that I've uploaded it especially for you (it's hard to get).
www.geocities.com/se7en/Anjali - Lazy lagoon.txt
(rename to .mp3)
Check these out too:
Nitin Sawhney - Letting Go.
The Angelica Project - Another Skin
Air - All I Need.
Aware - Revoked
Okay most of these are from a compilation called "Winter Chill". Actually there's volume 1, 2 a nd 3. Wicked compilations.. quality music on them. They were released by a radio station here in London called Jazz FM (www.jazzfm.com).
Let me know when you've downloaded that track cuz I wanna take it down before they confiscate my account.
