true, but knowing how Turbo Graphix 16(an old system, with cool 2-D graphix) that had REALLY good games, they went out of business and that just SUCKS ASS cuz they had really cool games. Like Bonk Adventure, Bonks Revenge and Bubbe and Bubble Story(two kids who have umberalla's as weapons). THough that system lasted only a few short years, it was really good and that'll happen with other systems, just Sega and Sega Dreamcast(I think Dreamcast is still slightly holding strong.)
btw, love the site and I like the definition.....and I am, by deifnition, a geek because I am a oddball cuz of my hyperness I get when I am bored.THAT'S DISGUSTING !! TAKE A SHOWER BABY !!!!

I have to say something about this:
"Sony Ps1 - i was playing ff9 and my first disc 'borke' inside it"
heh, what Playstation are you RUNNING. Its true the Playstation gets hot running games...But it actually broke? How the hell did that happen?
"Sony Ps2 - friend in jappan lost his RR5 disc after about 10 hours (stright) of use. (i know 10 hours is alot, but it BROKE~!)"
How can this happen also? I have NEVER heard any of this stuff. Even if this 'may' happen. (Which I DOUBT) How many time do YOU play games 10 hours STRAIGHT?
-vidiot-
How did these disks 'break'? Heh, use spell check :-p

Huh? Your disc broke INSIDE your PS?? Maybe cuz the system and the disc itself was getting hot and the disc couldn't take he suspense of being read by the laser and couldn't take the heat so it just gave away. But, that never happened to me cuz I usually stop playing ever so often. I'm a gamer girl but I don't play games hours straight....I usally play no more than 2 hours and then I'd go outside and do something. But if a friend of mine was over and we were playing my PS2 for hours without end, we'd usually play like 4 hours and then take a break, and then go to the park and rollerblade.THAT'S DISGUSTING !! yeh.. 10 hours is a bit.. overwhelming.. but i have left my ps2 on a whole day and it was fine.
the longest i have played rr5 would be.. uh.. 4 or something hours (not sure. time went reaaaal slow)? it was on the 100 lap thing, which was extremely boring to sit through. hard for my eyes to stay open.
i still have 500 more km's before i can race pacman. and im bored stiff of the game. AGHR>*#@$^

heh nice.....but were where talknig about the disc breaking in the PS not in the PS2. The PS2 probably has a better cooling system than the PS1 so thats probably why your PS2 wasfine when you left it on all day. And I know how you feel being bored with a certain part of a game. I'm starting to get bored with Tekken Tag cuz it was starting to get boring beaten the game so many times and beating your closest bud at it with no problem. I just want to face somebody who has skill and use different attacks other than do a combination of the same 5 attacks. Like my bud, Mike, all he uses are Law's flips, punchig attacks(his burning rave things), leap frog, dragon tail and some other attack, which I don't remember. And he does the same attacks as I do with Yoshimitsu, except for a 10-Hit combo, cuz he watches me play him a lot.THAT'S DISGUSTING !! TAKE A SHOWER BABY !!!!

eh.. your good mate is better than mine, he spams with eddy.. one of the most annoying bloody fighters out there. but then ofcourse i just smax him up and down with the jun/jun combo (the besssst!) (he doesnt play much since he is a 'dedicated' 2d fighter player who doesn't even own a bloody console and emu's it all day.. (so lame), i think having the game at home is really for practising your combo's etc for a real competition at the arcades... i got smacked around by a younger shcool kid the other day, but i faced him again with my new learnt xioyu combos i practised all day. muhaha he shall ph33r me.
www.tekkenzaibatsu.com/ here is a good place for combos and heaps of movies from japanese tournament finals etc. and a really cool place to find out how to beat stupid kids that don't let you touch the ground throughout the match -_-.
and apart from all that fighting, we had heaps of fun playing tekken bowl at my console gathering we had the other day.

heh thats cool. Whenever I'm going into a tournament for TTT at a arcadde, I'll practice long and hard on my joystick controller with my PS2. Though I haven't played TTT for at least a month now, I still know all the moves of my best characters. The only charactes I'm good with(going in order) are Xiaoyu, Eddy, Bryan, Yoshimitsu and Paul. I find the ending with Alex\Roger funyny cuz they're playing Rocks, Paper, Scissors w\ Yoshi and all Alex\Roger could do is rocks.THAT'S DISGUSTING !! TAKE A SHOWER BABY !!!!

I really havent ever had any problems with ps or ps2 overheating.. and when i play hardcore gaming sessions, they are usually more than 12hrs.. on a saturday afternoon til sunday morning..

never had a disk 'break' inside the console.. sounds like somethings seriously wrong!!
For a disk to 'break' or whatever after only 10hrs of use, there must be a fault in it.. it was only a one-off man, not many ppl have had problems like that with ps/ps2MRk MRK n FnK Mz
