Yes, I know it is a Game Counsel that plays it's own format of games. But I have seen the full set of Playstation2. It looked like a computer to me. The *NEW* accessories attached to Playstation that I saw were:
Playstation2 Hardware (Still testing)
Gameshark2 Keyboard (Which is out right now)
Gameshark2 Mouse (Still testing)
Gameshark2 Modem (Not out yet, sucks, does it not?)
Playstation2 Flat Screen Monitor (Not out yet)
Gee, I wonder when are they actually releasing Online experience? Next year? It does seem like a computer, lol!

It does seem a bit odd that while Microsoft is adamantly frantic in its attempts to distance the X-Box from a badly-streamlined, poorly-specialized computer (which it IS), Sony is aiming in the exact opposite direction with nary a ripple through the gaming media and community.

Exactly. What makes it worse is the fact that anti-M$ people are screaming how this is a "PC in a box", and a system that will crash repeatedly; and that these people will say NOTHING negative about Linux being released for the PS2, or the fact that there's some shots of a PS2 floating around that's connected to a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.

It looks like I am going to have add all these new equipment for my Playstation2, lol. You guys should start doing the same. I wouldn't mind making it look like a computer though. It has it's purpose; to give us entertainment, especially online!!!!

I don't see the point of a flatscreen LCD screen for the PS2. I mean, aside from looking cool and bypassing campus rules banning TVs, there's no real incentive, is there?
Or the screen is compatible with ALL Sony products and is capable of features not yet available on mainstream television monitors, in which case, never mind.

Whoa, they won't let you bring a TV into your dorm? Haha, that SUCKS!
