If you're getting an X-Box, Devil May Cry. If you're not, Grand Theft Auto 3.
Either way, you are required to buy GTA3, but the X-Box version should be slightly better. No word yet on DMC for X-Box, but it's a great game.
Don't know anything about flight sims.

ace combat 04 kicks ass, although it is a bit short. there IS 2-player mode though. oh yeah, one disappointment, the explosions completely suck ass. the rest of the game looks beautiful, though.
devil may cry is so rad, the gameplay and graphics are right on.
        same with gta3.

Having played all three, I would say that GTA3 is the longest and has the most replay value, with DMC coming up shortly behind it, and AC4 coming up behind that. AC4 is the best game if you don't have alotta time, you can do most missions in under a half an hour. Same with DMC and GTA3, I guess, but DMC has 23 missions and 12 secret ones. It also has a secret character and varying difficulties. GTA3 is fun but...it didn't live up to my expectations, where as AC4 and DMC did.... *runs and hides*

What the hell kind of expectations did you have, Gestahr?! From what I've seen and heard, GTA3 is close to gaming perfection!

I expected to have more fun with it than I did. I think the graphics could use a little work, as could the police AI and the animation in the game. Don't tweak cause I have a different opinion; and play it for yourself rather than argue hearsay.
Edit: It was good, BTW. It's just not worth the cost, to me, right now.

Mmm I think it's gonna be Devil May Cry.
Eventually (within six weeks) I'll have all three of them
                      Thnx for your advise everyone.

Btw. I'm going to rent ICO soon Vid... I don't know but from what I heard and saw it just doesn't appeal to me very much.
