Does anyone know if Gungrave OD is going to be released in America? They probably haven't bothered saying anything about it given that it's not even out in Japan, but hey, there's nothing like asking...
...and yes, I know the first game was atrocious but I love the anime far too much. Although frankly the bits that happen before the games are set are infinitely better than those after. >_<
Feel free to mock my horrible taste in anime/videogames/life.

The first game didn't even sell all that well (relatively speaking), so I'm not expecting it. Then again, who knows.

Personally, I thought Gungrave wasn't too bad, at least for the budget-bin prices you can get it for now.

There's always the chance they might release it given that Gungrave TV is licensed though...

I certainly found it to be repetitive (an understatement at times), but I didn't think it sucked
that bad...

And yeah, that's the other possibility. If the show sells well enough on DVD, it would certainly give them incentive to bring the game over as well.

It's the sort of thing that ought to sell well in the US market (the anime, that is), not least because it's got the draw of being the "other" Yasuhiro Nightow anime. And it's not exactly short on the Cowboy Bebop/Hellsing style dark action 'n' guns. That's pretty much been proven to sell well in America.
That said, I'm the only person in my entire circle of anime-watching friends who's actually watching it. >_
