Well I've revived Aeris once WITHOUT Gameshark. But what sucks is that I was in a big rush to get ready for church I didn't save. I had to do something with Cloud and the rest of the party. I have to give Cloud just ONE materia, which I think it was Kjata and the others pacific materia's. Plus, there are probably two other ways but I don't wuite remember now since I stopped playing FF7 like a year and a half ago cuz my friend, not Mike, lost my first disc and my other two are all messed up and I already deleted my FF7 files from my memory cards. But oh well, I just might get a new FF7 game when it like costs 10 bucks or when there's a newer verison of FF7.THAT'S DISGUSTING !! TAKE A SHOWER BABY !!!!

Let me say this. I've seen dozens of message board topics on this, and I can safely say that there is NO way to "revive" Aeris/Aerith without some kind of "game enhancer" or savegame hack. Its easy to do it on the PC, and on the PSX, you just use a game shark or something. But there is NO way to do it in the game, and I don't know why people seem to still think there is a way...

I agree Jim, it's such a tired old topic, everyone comes up with ways to revive her, but none work, because there's NO way, why people think there is is beyond me. Square says that there is NO way of reviving Aeris and that there was NEVER going to be. Personally I believe Square. Plus, the only reason you see Aeris in the church is because you're remembering her, not because they forgot to take it out, a company like Square wouldn't forget, plus it would have been found when they play-tested it. Why would they leave it in if it's an error?
I'd love for there to be a way to revive Aeris, but it's just not possible.

Exactly. Square even (somewhat) admited
[*FFVI SPOILER*]
that Shadow was Relm's father after that Amano drawing had "somehow" made it into the FFVI FMVs.

*******POSSIBLE FINAL FANTASY 6 SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll dig it up. Its the "intro" FMV for FFVI that came with FFAnthology. When you see Shadow and a flash of light, Amano's artwork of Relm is hidden in there. You can't see it unless you analyze it frame by frame (and it only appears for like 2 frames).
The below image is Shadow about one second before the flash.

Exactly one second later. You can see Amano's artwork.

The next frame. Relm's image disappears to shadow again.

The frame after that

And for reference, here is Amano's artwork of Relm

And this is the reply to a Square PR Rep about the guy's findings:

Dear Mr. Cox,
Thank you for your interest in our products, especially Final Fantasy VI. You are the first person to notice such a thing, and we have looked into it. You are apparently correct on your assumption. There is an image of the Amano sketch of the character Relm within the movie. We, however, cannot speak for those who made the game or movies and will simply say no comment at this time. But, from one Final Fantasy lover to another, I agree with you on the subject and believe the two characters are related. Good work.

So, Square admited it, in a sense (since the PR people
speak on behalf of the company). And if that's not enough proof, you can still stick with Shadow's fifth dream, which gives more than enough clues by itsself. Since I suck at explaining things, I'll copy someone else's explaination of the fifth dream, and some related events:

:Although not in any order, the dreams do tell the story of how two thieves rob a train and are being tracked around the world. One of the mens names is Clyde. During one of the dreams Clydes partner is hurt and tells him to leave and get away before the angry mob catches them both. Clyde reluctantly leaves, and the fate of his friend is not known, however, it is assumed he was killed or locked up for his crime. Meanwhile, Clyde has made his way to Thamasa. There he meets a young woman and he then lives the rest of his life with her, and apparently has a kid.
Ok, sounds thrilling, right? I bet your all saying, "so what?", well I'll tell you what. The 5th dream gives away something of an interesting secret. But, in order to get it you must have saved Shadow first and had all four dreams in the world of balance. Once you have him go and save Relm. Once your done you'll be sleeping in Thamasa, where the dream for Shadow takes place. It goes as the following:
Clyde: (to his dog) You came to fetch mebut I wont be coming back. I want you and the girl to live in a peaceful world(but the dog will not leave)
-Clyde and the dog leave.
Ok? Follow me so far? Now, like I said it requires you to play through the game more than once to get the whole storyand this is a reason why. If you do not get shadow first and get Relm instead, Relm will be in the bed where Shadow should have been. She will have a dream now, and will be this:
(Relm is with Strago in the house and a dog is also presentShadows (Clydes) dog. Strago is upset about something)
Relm: Where is father? Will he ever come back?
(Strago then sends the dog to go and get Clyde)
Starting to catch on now? The scene with Relm obviously takes place before the scene between Clyde and his dog. "

PS. At least people have stopped with the posts that General Leo can be revived in FFVI (he can't).

There are four dreams in the World of Balance and one in the World of Ruin. I think, in order to get the 5th dream, you need to rescue Shadow before you get Relm into your party. Not positive though.

Hmmmm.........I've been wanting to get FF Anthology but it didn't seem good enough to get cuz of how it looked on the back of the box. But, now I'm gonna get it when it's cheaper(it like costs $30) and I scratch up some cash.
Jim Aeris can be revived W\OUT Gameshark but only if I could remember the items and materia needed to revive her. I remember very little. I think you needed to give Cloud only one Materia which was the Kjata(sorry if I spelt it wrong, haven't played FF7 for almost 2 years) and the other some pacific materia magic. Also, you needed some kind of item also, which I don't remember, and it worked but I FORGOT TO SAVE WHEN I HAD TO GET READY FOR CHURCH !!! AARRRRGGGGHHH !!!!!! . But oh well, if or when I do remember the stuff needed, I'll let you guys know.
**Note**: This'll be my last post of the truth of Aeris being revived without Gameshark
By the way, how many discs are there in FF Anathology?? Like 2 discs for FF5 and FF6?? And how good is the game?THAT'S DISGUSTING !! TAKE A SHOWER BABY !!!!

Well, I've said what I've said about Aeris, and you have too. So we'll leave it at that, 'aight?
Anyways, I'm not sure how many discs its on (I still need to get it too, played it, but don't have it *gasp*), but I'd THINK its one disc for FFVI, and one for FFV. Apparently the music isn't quite as good as it is on the SNES version, and there's a savegame bug for FFV on the PS2, but other than that, its bascially the same game. But the games themselves are great, at least as a whole. I didn't like FFV NEARLY as much as I liked FFIV and VI, but it was still decent.
