Why do you love Final Fantasy? The story? The characters? The gameplay? The FMVs? The music? Why? OH WHY?! Personally, I think that the stories in most of the games are pretty bland. I prefer the music and the FMVs for some *cough*FF9*cough*, but for others the story and the characters are what got my attention. Also, if you don't mind my asking, what do you think you will like most about the next FFs?

I like Final Fantasy cause of the story, characters and music. Anyone that says Shadow from FF6 doesn't rock is blind and dumb. The FMV's are ok..my jaw dropped when i saw them, but you still don't need to use them. Look at Zelda on N64, that game totally rips, yet there is not one bit of CG at all..don't hear anyone complain, but yeah, i would like to see Link in an FMV, and i think i already have watching the GameCube demo's in August last year *well, close to FMV's anyway ^^*. Also Nobuo Uematsu is a great composer, and i guess that is why i stick to playing FF a lot, cause of his music. I think the most important thing in FF10 is how they will get around the music and character speech..personally, i think the speech part is a major blow-out, but there is a part of me that says it will be good to see/hear/whatever. One main reason, is that you get the character's voice inside your head, and the way they interpret things are your own personal opinion. The way you hear their jokes or their anger..and i think if they add the speech, part of that is going to be lost. But in the mean time, you will be able to hear people talking for the 1st time in a FF game..maybe it will be good, maybe not. Who knows, i guess we'll just have to wait until it comes out in nihon.

what i like in fanal fantasy is the story and its "artwork"

after beating it, i fell in love with it...so i started searching for ff to play
then my second game was ff4
i loved the story in it and the music too~
heh heh...even got the piano music cause they sounded so good...and the images...its like..wow

ff6 was good too.....but ff5 kinda had a week storyline
soooo........after blabbling for so long...i like ff because of its story and the way they presented it.
it wasn't just a game with fighting and more fighting, but i game with story in it that make sense and have feelings in it

Personally, I think it's the storylines (although I'm unconvinced about FFIX...hmmm...not liking it too much at the moment, it's okay, it's just not amazing.) I haven't ever played anything that has as much involvment with regard to the storyline as FF. A lot of the time in other games you feel like you're just doing stuff that's totally irrelevant to the end result, stuff that wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference to the storyline if it wasn't there. With FF I think you get the whole package, it's like the most complete game I've played. Good storylines, good characters, graphics better than just about anything else at the time and above all decent gameplay. I find with most other games that they seem to fail on one or more of those catergories, so that's why I like Final Fantasy the best. Katyjag, a young revolutionary...

What is this, katyjag? You are a sorceress, and I am a sorceress' knight? Coincidence? I don't think so. Well, I think that some of the best tales for FF games are actually found in past games, not FF9. I have seen the games, graphic-wise they are nothing, and the quality of the music is not exactly great, but then it was all before the advent of the CD format. Then you got great quality games with good storylines, IMHO, like FF8, and then not so great storylines, like FF9. I look forward to the speech part of FFX. I don't see it as a problem, like other fans have responded. I actually think that this will make the games *gasp* better. And the online capabilities, though absent from FFX, will be welcome addition by the time FFXI and FFXII hit the PS2...though it will be a while for that. Meanwhile, I sit here enjoying FF8...

I'm actually going thru Chrono Cross at the moment, while I wait to get my hands on FFIX (yes, still) and I'm realy liking it.. from what I've seen so far, it's deffinately one of the more 'innovative' titles by Squaresoft.. Story line is still a bit hazy, but hey, I'm only 3 hrs in
If I can be bothered (time permitting also) I'll try to write up a review on it.. that is, if anyone is still interested in that game!! hehe.. I know it is kinda old.. MRk MRK n FnK Mz

Chrono Cross ROCKS!
Why is it that Squaresoft [aka God] gives so much of its money to Final Fantasy, then comes out with a mediocre product plot-wise, while all these TREASURE TROVES of great RPGs are floating around with a fraction of the revenue? Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, the Mana series(maybe)...

...because the Final Fantasy series now has tradition behind it? There have been more than nine FF games, and the Chrono is series is relatively new and young to this RPG world of ours. Maybe we will see some more of the creative process in the future going to games like Xenogears and Chrono Cross (though no Mana...), but for the foreseeable future, the only thing in Square's mind is FF. I am glad, though, because those games end up being really good. Final Fantasy Rules!

I like FF because of many reaons.:
1.) Characters of most games realyl show their characteristics
2.) Good and interesting storyline (like FF7)
3.) Good graphics (don't have to be great but the magics and summons better be good)
4.) FMV's
5.) Gameplay
6.) Tactics
7.) Worth keeping
