Sorry, I know this isn't really Final Fantasy related, but I'm a naturally inquisitive creature and this seemed to be the best group to ask.
Bo's BO mentioned that "There are three games that made [him] love Squaresoft." Obviously, Xenogears is one. But what were the other two? I'm thinking Chrono Trigger or Vagrant Story, but those are just wild guesses. I purchased Xenogears purely on Bo's recommendation, it'd be interesting to see where his tastes lie.
I'd message him on Hotline, but I haven't been able to access it for a while.

I'm fairly sure one of them is Final Fantasy Tactics, but I'm not sure what the third one is (although I'm positive its not a Final Fantasy).

Ok, so FFT MAY be one of them, but you are sure it is NOT a ff game?
"All Final Fantasys suck!"
"There are three games that made me love Squaresoft, oyu know what? Final Fantasy is NOT one of them"
BUT who really knows... what I want to know is...
"I will show you why the two set they didn't like it, and why the other two set they loved it."
Hmmm... He only seemed to talk about the PROs of this game... and did not show why the other two hated it. Unless I did not watch this thing enough times.

As far as I know, Bo LOVED Final Fantasy Tactics (you even see it in the opening to the Backorder shows). HOWEVER, he is NOT a fan of any of the "real" Final Fantasy games.
So, yes, FFT MAY be one of them, but I'm SURE that the THIRD one is not a FF game. That clear it up?

Bo did point out the cons, there just weren't that many.

I'm about 10 hours or so into Xenogears (again), and I must say:
After watching Dogma, the complete NGE series, playing Xenogears, and listening to its soundtrack, I've had just a BIT too much BIBLE and religious-related themes for a while.
Good game, but its like the Chrono team had JUST read the bible, and decided to make a game.

I thought the same thing Jim! I feel like I'm being watched...

I'm maybe four or five hours in, my first time through. I thought Ol' Man Bal's version of the Genesis story was hilarious and cool at the same time.."...ghoulies and ghosties and long leggety beasties and things that go bump in the night..."

Heh, the game started a bit bible-centric to begin with, but as soon as Fei and Bart met Old Man Bal, it just kept going from there.
Don't worry, there's a LOT more where that came from, and I'm only 14 hours into it!
