Firstly, I just want to say how AMAZED I am at how much the graphics in FF have improved over the last few years. I just bought FFVII (at long LAST) and after seeing bits of FFX it's easy to see that the INGAME graphics of X are better than the FMVs of VII.
I guess I've been more than spoilt with the beauty of 8 + 9 as well, i was rather amused by the un-textured blockly polygons of VII characters that somehow remind me of little Lego men.
What HAS had me gaping though is the speed of the battles. You select attack, and there is not a split second wait before your character does what you tell it to. FF9 was sooooo slow, monsters seemed to get 10 turns to my 1.
And limits limits limits! Limits so frequently, oooh I like this!
That blue screen annoyed me though. I made it grey like 9.
Having no analogue controller is taking some getting used to, I keep reaching for that joystick, and nothing happens...
I'm sure everybody knows this sort of thing already, but I just feel like talking about it.
Well, I should get back to infiltrating Shinra Tower now.
Muahaha. Cloud looked so pretty in a dress :)- Min

The real-time graphics of FFX are better than the FMVs of FF8.

Heh, what are you on??? The ingame graphics of FFX ARE good, however, they are not FMV quality yet. Just look at the Graduation Ball, and the End Sequence in FFVIII, the ingame in FFX hasn't reached that level. Wishful thinking though....

FF7 is too dark and stupid.
FF8 is too bright and boring.
FF9 is too homosexual and makes no sense.
FF10 reminds me of Hawaii and I hate tropical places.
FF11 is going to make me play with stupid fucking morons.
FF12 better have CG girls dancing in panties.
GOD I LOVE FINAL FANTASY GAMES

The realtime in X is not as good as the fmv in VIII. It's getting there, maybe in ffXII it will be.

Whatever it may look like, the ingame graphics from FFX are some of the best I have seen so far. And it's a great step (graphically speaking, from 2D to 3D) for the FF series. I want to see how Square handled all the camera issues...sometimes that makes all the difference in a game between succesful and not so good.

Well, I still think that FFX has got the more real looking graphics. When look at it, it seems that way to me. Doesn't it even look anywhere as good as FF8 to you?Battlezone II

Yeah, I beat them a long time ago. I'm probably really rusty on how to go about it, but e-mail me sometime or contact me on ICQ and I'll help you out. The main secret is to max out your levels and have all the materias, with the secret junction patterns like Final Attack/Revive equipped. Although, I do remember that last time I beat Emerald Weapon, that I beat him using only physical and magic attacks (I didn't cop out and use Knights of the Round Summon). So yeah, I'll help you out if I can remember.
