I was talking about the money that you would pay to the game company in order to play the game online. Don't forget that all the online game traffic would be routed through their servers and that's why they charge a fee. Just look at Everquest, and Anarchy Online, to name a couple. Those cost like $10.00 a month to play online. I usually play an RPG for about 3-6 months (depending on how much I like it). That 10 bucks a month adds up after a while. I have an unlimited cable plan, that wasn't what I was worried about, it's the money that the game company charges to play their game online....

But still, how many online games do you have to pay for? There are many FREE onlines games that are fun to play.

In Everquest all you do is sit on your ass and camp monsters. Wanna quest? Go on the most boring and unimaginative quests they can think of (i.e. Bring Soopie Soothsayer a beatle's eye or dragon's tit or penis soup, etc and get an item to go deliver to some other poor fuck, mix in 65 gazillion hours of this all for a shield you could have bought for 50 gold anyway). DING! LEVEL 2 FAG0TS!
Massively multiplayer games are not fun for me. I find little 3 player and more RPGs (Secret of Mana, Diablo et al) much much much much more fun and, dare I say, intimate.
And does anyone know what mc0 is saying?

There are so many onlines games that are FREE.

Bottomline remains that Final Fantasy XI will NOT be free and that suxOrz majOrz cOxOrz...
