Yes... I still havent played FF7... I'll have to go sell my body for 25 bucks and buy it for the PC or something.

I have NO idea. At first, I was under the impression it would... I rented it, see... and it would freeze up just as gameplay is about to start at the train. Anyway, I took it back to blockbuster and told them the disk was damaged somehow, they said they'd test it and get a new one if it was infact damaged.. next week I head back to the video store and notice it's the same pack and disks, ask them if it worked on both the PSX and PS2 at their store.. they said it was not damaged... so, eh...

I found the gameshark materia, and I tried to jam it into the materia slot on my PS2 to increase my PS2's attack power, but it didn't fit so I sold it to a friend for 10 dollars.

There actually is a difference between FF7 US and FF7 jap ... and it's a question of Weapons ^^ A CG-scene wasn't included in the first FF7 japanese release ( there was a second which included every stuff which wasn't in the first release plus ... a fourth CD with LOTS of nice things I'm still looking for ^^;;. It's known as FF7 International ).
The CG-scene which wasn't included it the escape from the nothern crater. There wasn't the Emerald Weapon and the Ruby Weapon too in it ...
That's what I know for sure
There may be others things that differs with the US version of the game, but I don't know more than those I explained ...
