Yeah, all this FFXI is all woohoo and stuff but it'll probably be the first one (since FFIV) that I won't buy.
The graphics are very impressing but I still don't like the whole P(l)ayOnline thing.
Can some one tell me what the deal exactly is?
Correct me if I'm wrong:
You have to pay some monthly fee to Square for using their P(l)ayOnline network and beside that you ALSO have to pay your ISP 'cause you can only use a dial-up connection with the PS2 and not cable/dsl/whateverbroadbandshit....
If that is the case....well then I'm definately out. Before I had cable my bills were extremely high, I never want to go back to dial-up. Not ever.

I thought the PS2 had a broadband adapter. Doesn't it work with PlayOnline?

The Ps2 modem(s) or anyother type of USB modem (that works with Ps2) Should be able to operate with Play Online, when it is up.
