Spokker Jones
I think it's interesting. Post yours. The times are presumably at the last save spot before the last boss. So times should be about an hour longer than what's here.
---
Final Fantasy I - ???
Note: I DID play this game. I actually bought it. I WANT to play it, and beat it, but I don't think I have the patience to.
---
Final Fantasy II/IVjp - 17:52
Cyan Lv. 46 Rosa Lv. 45 Kain Lv. 47 Rydia Lv. 40 Edge Lv. 45
Note: I think my friend showed me the ending because all my characters were too low level. At least I got to the last dungeon eh? I think. The third Final Fantasy I played. Played through it about halfway a second time.
---
Final Fantasy V - ???
Note: Got to some sand place, and had to return it to my friend. Great job system, really fun. Why is the PS2 version so pokey?
---
Final Fantasy III/VIjp - 53:35
1 - Edgar Lv. 54 Umaro Lv. 43 Celes Lv. 53 Gogo Lv. 53
2 - Cyan Lv. 53 Gau Lv. 52 Terra Lv. 52 Shadow Lv. 52
3 - Sabin Lv. 54 Mog Lv. 53 Locke Lv. 52 Setzer Lv. 52
Note: The first Final Fantasy game I played. I don't remember how or why I got into Final Fantasy, especially at a relatively early stage. I went through this epic towards the end of 5th grade I think. I gave most characters different names than their defaults, something I didn't do that for Final Fantasy II/IVjp however. Played through again a few years later.
---
Final Fantasy VII - 59:06
Cloud Lv. 82 Tifa lv. 83 Yuffie Lv. 75
Note: I played the hell out of this one. Beat it in nine days. I got the Gold Chocobo and even played side-by-side with my friend who was playing his save towards the end. To this day I still don't fully understand the story. I named Cloud, Spok. Yuffie, Buffy. And Tifa, Willow. Aerith was named Gabrielle. Played through twice total. Started a third one not too long ago.
---
Final Fantasy VIII - 42:49
Squall Lv. 53 Rinoa Lv. 34 Selphie Lv. 38 Zell Lv. 23 Irvine Lv. 21 Quistis Lv. 34
Note: I beat this one in about a month. It's wierd when you look at the items and weapons and abilities you worked for in each Final Fantasy game you play, and wonder how the hell you got them in the first place. I can't remember for the life of me. Started a second game not too long ago.
---
Final Fantasy IX - 41:42
Zidane Lv. 55 Vivi Lv. 57 Eiko Lv. 51 Garnet Lv. 51
Quina Lv. 30 Freya Lv. 27 Amarant Lv. 40 Stiener Lv. 27
Note: I beat this one over at least four months. I wasn't that interested in the game as this was the time my life was really in a downward spiral. I'm surprised the time isn't higher because I feel that I did play it a lot. I even played the Chocobo Hot and Cold game quite often.
---
Final Fantasy X -
Note: I'm not done with Final Fantasy X yet but my time right now is about 35 hours. I have the airship and am currently exploring. I really do love this game.
---
Lunar: The Silver Star Story - 24:29
Alex Lv. 48
Note: Not a Final Fantasy game but it is my favorite game ever. I played the hell out of it.
---
Secret of Mana - ???
Note: I keep trying to get into this game. I played it with my friend a lot during certain parts when he had it. We even beat the game together. Remember, 3-player RPG.
---
Chrono Trigger - 30-35(?) hours
Note: I can't find my Chrono Trigger and I think it was stolen. So that's my best guess and I'm faily positive about it. Saw most of the endings, played through three times (wowz0r!).
---
Vagrant Story - 13 hours (never finished)
Note: It got to the point where my weapons did no damage and it became tedious to equip and unequip weapons for every different kind of monster encountered. A great game, for those with patience.
---
Chrono Cross - 20 or so hours (never finished, then sold it)
Note: Chrono Cross captivated me in ways only Lunar and FF6 have, but it didn't last for long. The whole dragon quest thing got so boring I didn't care to continue. I also needed money to buy PS2 games (especially FF10) so gone it went.
---
Lunar 2: Eternal Blue - About 3 hours (then sold)
Note: I had no desire to play this game. I anticipated it so much, then I felt nothing when I first played it. Again, needed money for PS2 games, so gone it went. It was actually a bitch getting it to work. I couldn't play it on my PS so I was out 60 bucks, and I finally got a PS2 so I could played it, but after a big hassle with Working Designs costumer rep. trying to get it to work on my PS I said to hell with it.
---
Septerra Core - 10 hours or so (never finished)
Note: Another unfinished RPG! Yay! A huge bug where the game wouldn't continue after beating a boss that took half an hour to beat made me stop playing. Good game, great story, but I couldn't keep going.
---
Parasite Eve - 7 hours or so (never finished, actually went through twice)
Note: I got to a point where I was really low level I couldn't really do anything, as I would just die. So I tried again, but didn't have the will to keep going. So I sold it.
---
Fallout - A lot.
Note: A really fun game that I never got around to finishing. Yet another unfinished RPG.
---
EverQuest - 216 hours (Alexisia) 15 or so hours (SpokkerJones)
Note: I cannot believe I played this game THAT much! I played it for three months in the summer of '99 or '00 I can't remember right now. Alexisia ended up being a Lv. 27 female Wood Elf Ranger. SpokkerJones was my try at playing a paladin.
---
Asheron's Call - ?
Note: I participated in the open beta. No one was around. Decent game I suppose.
---
Brave Fencer Musashi - 3 hours or so (sold it)
Note: Probably just bought it for the FF8 demo. You know, just trying to justify the purchase of a game for a demo, I said to myself it was good. And I remember it being kind of fun, but not enogh, so I sold it.
---
Okay, that's my RPG history.

I'm gonna do what I can with times as I don't have most of them written down somewhere.
FFIVj
-Got to the very end of it, and I never finished, about 30 hours
FFVIj
-Again, got to the very last boss, never beat. Saw the ending a few times. About 40 hours.
FFVII
-Took about 50 hours, then went into the debug room and saved not knowing it completely erases ones memory card. And don't worry Spok, you're not the only one who didn't fully understand the story. =P
FFVIII
-Took about 50 hours
FFIX
-Took about 45 hours
FFX
-Took about 60 hours(10 to 15 or so was spent not playing =P)
Lunar: SSSC
-Took about 50 hours, one of the saves I lost thanks to the debug fiasco
Xenogears
-Took about 60-70 hours. One of the saves I lost, planning on playing through again
Secret of Mana
-My Super Nintendo fucked this game up, I would get to the second to last boss(Dark Lich) and it would always freeze mid-battle, so I had to beat it on my friends SNES. Took me about 20 hours
Chrono Trigger
-Took about 30 hours, I always thought it was too short though. I saw about 5 or 6 of the endings.
Parasyte Eve
-Took me about 8 hours. The secret to beating the game wasn't in levels, but weapon modification(by the end of the games, most people had the most powerful handgun +10 or so attack points, mine was +60 or so. The Chrysler Building was bullshit though. The idea was, you go up all 77 floors, you get another ending that explains the game better. Each floor took about a half hour to get through, you get a keycard every 10 floors. Even though the enemies were extremely hard, you only get 1 exp point for each fight. I'm so glad I cheated, the extra ending was fucking stupid.
Parasyte Eve 2
-Dunno if this can really be considered an RPG, but it took me about 10 hours
Earthbound
-About 60 hours, god I loved that game
Paladin's Quest
-I played it for an hour and gave it back to my friend, it was horrid
Super Mario RPG
-Put about 30 hours into it, never beat it though
And that's all I can remember right now...I'll add more as I remember them.

Damn.. k, lesse.. these times are estimates for the most part...
FF6 - 60 hours
I love this game. You'll note from this point on, all times on my games are relatively long, because I spend alot of time dicking around. I'll even go do something for a half hour often without pausing, just leave it running, wether on the PC or TV.
FF8 - 120 hours first time, 30 hours second time (cheated, wanted to see ALL the GFs and items, and just decided to cheat all the way.. was on the PC), third time through 80 hours
I loved this game too. I've played it more than three times, but those are the three that stick out. First time through I leveled up all my characters to the max practically...
FF9 - 40-50 hours
Something like that... I did all the sidequests, leveled up my characters a bit, collected cards... even after all of that though, it was still shorter than expected.
FFX - Havent played it yet, but I think it'll be a safe bet to assume between 80 to 120 first play.
Septerra Core - around 80-90 hours the first time through, considerably less (50-60?) the second time through, and I'm playing it a third time now... about 15-20 hours in and halfway through the game
I really love this game, even if the switch flipping can get a little boring sometimes (later in the game, when dungeons are really big). The story kicks butt, and the characters are great. There are nice sidequests, and the forced quests are done well. If a bug is stopping you from continuing Spok, go to the website and get the patch. OR, if the patch doesnt work, then use the cheat that has enemies ignore you... when that cheat is up, and you confront a boss, you zip to the end and earn the exp and items without breaking a sweat.
Omikron - around 60 hours.
For the LONGEST time, I had this game sitting on my PC at the last save before the end boss, because as hard as I tried, I could not beat the damn game. Finally, by luck alone (and later I found out it's a bug), when my friend started playing it I gave it another shot, and beat it. it took about 60 hours, but really this game can be beaten pretty quickly.. I'd say in about 20-30 hours. You spend alot of time running around trying to figure out exactly what you are supposed to do... and when i first started playing the game, I didnt know you had a taxi service at your disposal, so i was REALLY running all over, wasting time and patience. But, if you are guided somewhat in the begining to familiarize yourself, this game is actually pretty good.
Myst - around 20 hours
This game rocked when it came out, i really liked it, but I didnt finish it until about a year after giving up on it, because there was something buggy with the piano thing.
Riven - around 100 hours first time through, 30 the second time through.
This is one of my favorite games of all time. The puzzles wracked my brain, but I never got tired of it, and when I'd finally figure something out, put two and two together, I honestly felt refreshed and more sharp in the mind because of it.
Myst III: Exile - I was slightly dissapointed, because it was so short, it took me about 20-30 hours to finish.
As I said above, slight dissapointment. I had really high expectations of this game, I thought it would be bigger/better/longer than riven, but it wasn't. Graphically it was gorgeous, the music was spectacular, and the puzzles were great, however after playing Riven, I didn't want to go back to the mapping and stages of Myst... I liked everything tying together in such intricate ways. I WILL play it again however, becase it IS a good game.
Chrono Trigger - 80-100 hours the first time through, 40 the second time through (game+), 60 hours the third time through (regular game)... I've played CT quite a few times...
This game kicks ass. I love it. Seen all the endings, tried the different choices (well..)... one of the greatest games ever made.
Chrono Cross - 60-80 hours, and unfortunately because I was renting it, it's the only full through I've played. I DID do a game+ to see the programmers ending though.
I was VERY pleased with this game, it did not dissapoint. I plan on buying this, even though I've already played it, because I enjoyed it that much. I'm positive there are many things I missed though, sidequests and everything.. like I never finished collecting all the bones... I didn't find all the rainbow shells I'm sure either, I hear theres something like 25 to find...
Gemstone III - I've been playing for about 6 years. And for like, atleast 3 of those years I was playing 4 hours a night on weekdays, so I'd say MANY MANY HOURS. My main character is not uber though, thats for sure... it's all about roleplaying. LOL, once I played 12 hours strait, sickness...
I dont think I'll ever stop playing this game.
Sailor Moon RPG - first time through, about 100 hours, second time around 60 hours.
I really liked this game... ROMed, cause it's not available in english. The battles can be pretty damn tough. I'm a moonie though, so thats probably why I enjoyed it.
Silent Hill 2 - 25 hours, not finished.
This game... I really like it so far, but it's being rented, and right now I'm low on funds.. so, cant rent it. I really had to put it down often, and just STOP playing though... because, really, it was working on my tension. It freaks me out a little... but, bleh.. the tension builds and builds, it's not sudden scares.. it's... weird. The music freaks me out... lol.
MGS2 - 5-6 hours so far, not finished. I'm at the plant, at the point where you fight fatman...
I'm digging this game! I've never really delved into espionage... but, I'm really liking this game. I dicked around alot though, probably could have gotten to the point I'm at a bit sooner... I couldnt figure out how to kill fatman though... disarm the bomb, shoot him, collect the bullets, repeat... then I died, and then it had to go back to the store. Dont have the funds to rent it right now either...
Monkey Islands - I have no idea how long it took me to play these games... but I really liked them.
Diablo II - again, no idea how long, but probably around 40-60 hours. It was pretty good.
There are alot of other games I'm sure.. this list is already really long though, so I'll stop here.

Super Mario RPG - I rented this game a few times. Then I tried playing again on an emulator. Could never stick with it.
Diablo II - I beat this game multi-player with a friend. Maybe total single/multi-player 40-50 hours.
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest - Hahaha I actually played this game all the way through. I liked it!
So no one played Dragon Quest/Warrior?

I played some of DW(or is it DQ?) 1, 2 and 3 when they were ported to the GBC, but they didn't really hold any interest for me. DQVII I watched someone play, and again, I wasn't all that interested.

Chrono Cross
-I really can't believe I forgot this one. I was so excited about it, I paid 80 for the import version and only played it a few times. When the localized one came out, I played through it a few times, finished in about 40 hours.
Breath of Fire 1
-About 30 hours
Breath of Fire 2
-Put in about 15, never finished, never wanted to
Breath of Fire 3
-About 30 hours. It was great at the time, but in retrospect the only good thing was the DNA system
Breath of Fire 4
-About 40 hours, at the very end
Skies of Arcadia
-About 30 hours, also right at the very end. I have to beat this soon.
Grandia 2
-About 30 hours, dunno if I'm gonna beat this game, I really started to hate it.
Threads of Fate
-More adventure than RPG, but still, I went through it 3 times, 15 hours total
Time Stalkers
-Ugh, I wasted 10 hours on this shit game
Evolution 1 and 2
-I gave each game about 10 hours before the dungeons made me queasy
Brave Fencer Musashi
-About 6 or 7 hours
Fallout 1 and 2
-Beat them both and I cheated both times, about 20 hours each

A friend of mine swears by Lunar and Breath of Fire (4 I think?).. she says they are the best games ever made... but, they are for sega systems arent they? Lunar was for sega CD right.. cant even get that ROMed can you...? Breath of Fire is for PSX isnt it.. maybe I'll rent it.
Anyway... Theres another one I forgot, but it's an adventure game, not an RPG really... Zelda for N64... I *really* liked this game... and, i was never a huge link fan like everyone else I knew. I dug it, but it never gripped me, yanno? Because it's an adventure game... anyway, though, I DID like this.. however, I dont own an N64, and so.. well.. I ROMed it... and, theres a bug in the ROM which doesnt let me finish, unfortunately.. i was really pissed, and went through the whole thing three times just to see if I was doing something wrong (because another friend of mine said you had to do things pretty specifically)... anyway, couldnt get into the fire cavern, so.. ahhh... it was a great game though, up to that point... I do hope to finish it someday.

Breath of Fire 4 isn't by any means great, but it's very good(IMHO), it just does a few things right. A.) Capcom did a top-notch job displaying the best animated sprites I've ever seen in a game. B.) THe music is pretty damn good. C.) Playing as two different characters and knowing that one will eventually kill the other is kind of cool. Other than that, it's pretty standard. Story is good, but it's not great(ancient evil resurrected, you must stop). Again, just my opinion.
Spok, don't play Xenogears when you're tired. =P
