Just saw the first few eps of Abenobashi.
This is one of Gainax's "wtf?!" animes, isn't it? Like FLCL. Enjoyable and funny, but bizarre.
Seriously bizarre.
Off to watch the rest, now.---

Alright, just worked my way through Abenobashi. Got a hell of a lot more serious than I expected around the middle, but still enjoyable, and certainly more coherent than FLCL. I'm fairly certain I got most of the references. One sticking point: his grandmother?
Anyway, I'll see what else I can watch now. Thanks for the suggestion of Abenobashi.---

Maybe you missed something Gest..
While I still liked Cowboy Bebop more than Noir, I still think that Noir was done pretty well. They're very different from each other, so they can't really be directly compared.

Noir was done very much in the vein of French cinema. I liked that.

You're right BuMz, Noir does miss the mark TOTALLY. It's like they fell asleep when they were writing it, then woke up an hour before the script was due. :Onot allowed
