So Chrno Crusade started recently. I just finished watching the second episode; it's paced alot like FMA, it's pretty comedic at points and then strangely violent at others. And Chrno is pretty cool when he goes apeshit. :D The basic idea is that there's a nunnery that hunts demons, and Chrno is the assistant to one of the nuns, Rosette. It kinda reminds me of Hellsing, where Chrno is some highranking demon and Rosette is his master/friend, only, Chrno Crusade's anime doesn't suck.:D

Ya, I picked this up and took a gander, looks good. Too early to really tell though (or is that the sign of a mediocre anime).

You really can't judge something on the first few episodes, Trigun and Hellsing are great examples of that.not allowed

Thats bull Hellsing and Trigun are not perfect examples.
I felt hellsing started out strong and finished strong. there were no mediocer parts to point out. [we'll see how it turns out on the 2nd season]
Trigun I believe is actualy an overall good anime that started well with sufficient action and well timed comedy. It kept a overall good quality. [Trigun Maximum was waaaaaay better though]
What i really dont like is when they have a story that goes no were just action and no deep character relation. I really hate it when consistancy in the plot goes away. i could careless about killing or fighting.

I agree, Cyber, they aren't perfect examples; they're great ones. :D I felt both series started off really strong and then just kinda tapered off into mediocrity.not allowed

*throws in obligatory two cents*
I absolutely love Hellsing, as most people already know, but I'll freely admit the second half of the anime is crap. They hacked the manga's plot to make something the would actually fit into 13 episodes, and because of that it lost any coherency it had before. I'm not holding out for a second series because Kohta Hirano has apparently said it's not going to happen until he's finished the manga. By which time there's not going to be enough interest in the series in Japan to make a second season viable. It's been a good three (?) years since the first series came out, so I think if they were going to do it, they would have already, even with the mangaka's objections, just for the financial reasons. The manga's much better anyway, even if Dark Horse have butchered various bits of it. -_- Meh...it could have been worse, I suppose...
