AnimeForever started subbing Square Enix's new game/anime. It's pretty cool, it involves the science of Alchemy. The first few minutes of the show are pretty violent, but it's kinda lighthearted.

I just got the first ep, actually. I skipped through it, I'll watch it tommorow. It' looks wacky. :O
From Jascii's page: "The latest big-name series to air, Full Metal Alchemist is the popular manga that is now an anime and will be made into a Square-Enix produced game in the near future. So, it's no surprise that to me that it turned out to be pretty decent.
Edward Elric is the famous, genius alchemist that the title speaks of (hmm, maybe it means his brother, actually?), and we're treated to a flashback sequence in the beginning which explains just how he got the "metal" part of his name. When he was little, he and his brother used their knowledge of alchemy to try and bring their mother back to life... But they did not yet understand one important thing... alchemy cannot create something from nothing. So in order to create his mother's body, the forces of alchemy searched for something else to get the needed materials from... and took away his little brother's... and one each of his arms and legs. And even then, his "mother" was nothing more than a blob of organs and body parts. Now, many years later, his brother Alfonse has a towering metal body, and he has a metal arm and leg.
So they are now on a journey to find... something, and it brings them to a somewhat odd town in the middle of the desert. Practically dying of thirst, Edward leaps at the fountain he sees in the town, but it's actually pouring out... wine? Turns out that the city practically worships the man who lives in the grand cathedral-type building in the center of town, who turns water to wine, revives dead birds, and performs other amazing miracles. However, as Edward and Al can easily tell, the miracles are nothing more than alchemy, shown off to make people amazed and reverant. Roze, the girl with red/pink hair, is especially enamored of the leader, because he promises that he can bring her dead lover back to life. This really sets off a spark in Edward, since it's just like he was so long ago... And eventually, he ends up in the bowels of the cathedral, fighting with the leader, as he is a threat to the city, and Edward has actually been searching for the ring that the leader has been using to create the "miracles"!
An interesting premise... although alchemy seems pretty convenient since you can just turn the end product into whatever form you want... repair a broken radio with no effort, practically. I guess it probably takes a lot of study to get that far. Anyway, I was pretty impressed overall. Pretty good character designs, an interesting premise, a well-executed beginning... A series worth following for the plot, if there's been any so far this season. I'm actually curious as to whether Edward and Al are still searching for an ultimate alchemy that can actually bring people back to life, or they have a different goal in mind on their search. I guess we'll see! "not allowed

That's not so much bad grammar as it is bad spelling. Or more likely a typo, because I'm sure Cyber can spell "since" really...
