It's the only anime I'm following this season. The rest of my anime time is spent slowly reducing my backlog.
If you've seen Honey and Clover, NC is pretty much stylistically identical. This is a good thing for me. You can think of NC as H&C transposed from an art college to a music college, with a rebalancing of the drama and humor (less and more, respectively, which is another good thing for me). Like H&C, I have yet to find a voice/character combination I dislike. Characters themselves are hilarious, with the title character's endearing nonsense syllables making her wonderfully weird and cute and disgusting.
OP and ED are very good. Fitting with the theme, the episode music is classical and fits very well. Having attended music conservatories and gone through much of the events of the series personally helps me to relate.
I very much recommend it so far. I followed the manga too long ago to be spoiled for the anime, so the episodes are fresh, and I assume everybody else here is going in cold. In the current drought of decent series, consider giving the first episode a try.

I watched the live drama last season. Pretty good.
