I was just thinking about how 99.99% of all animes I've ever heard about show the main female character(s) getting raped violently and repeatedly (and a lot of the time by demons and/or weird alien/plant thingies) for absolutely no reason that has anything to do with the story whatsoever. What gives? Is the Japanese society so screwed up that people just get turned on by watching young women get abused? Or what? What's going on here?

hmm well i know for a fact that lots of japanese schoolgirls get groped on the train ride to/from school

uuuumm..........urrrrr....
how do i explain this
its just that in japan itself, they still have this idea that men is the one who should always be in power
and in most cases when females get raped, the guy who raped them never get charged. or if they go into court, somehow most of them get pleaded not-guilty
its just this old-fashion idea they have....

Wow...this is certainly the oddest topic of the month.

I know that young prostitution is fairly big (or at least the media makes it out to be), and apparently many females get groped on the subways all the time, but I'm not sure on rape itsself.
Why, scared out of going to Japan because of that or something?

from the hentai i've watched, it seems people like rape and tentacles, a lot of the time a mix of both at the same time.
