Hellooo... my name is Ren, and I am a Sailor Moon fan.
Yes, it's true.
My admiration of anime started way back when I was but a little nose-drooling child. My saturday mornings were spent staring at the TV screen as it displayed "Funny looking big eyed cartoons" and "Giant awesome robots in space!", more commonly known as perhaps Astroboy and Voltron. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Little Prince, and the 10am fairytale films like Swan Lake, or Arabian Nights.
You know, I was really upset when Sven departed... seems like I was the only one too.
As I matured, so did my taste. However, I still thoroughly enjoy these simplistic, summed-up-in-a-half-hour-(sorta!) shows.
There are great pieces of work out there, such as Ghost in the Shell, Vision of Escaflowne... and yes... Sailor Moon. Then there are the ones you watch and love simply because they hold a fond (read: shocking) place in your heart, such as Ninja Scroll, Legend of the Overfiend, Fist of the North Star...
Nothing beats being stupefied by meer visuals alone.
Then we have pieces of beauty and tragedy, such as Wings of Honneamise, Barefoot Gen, and Grave of the Fireflies. And lets not forget to mention ones that are humorous yet touching like Love Hina.
Okay.. anyway, my point is... in all anime there is a grade of beauty, or intensity, spectacular storyline, or gripping plot twist. And I refuse to name favorites.
Ren... on a tangant, and had WAY too much pepsi.
