Favorite animes / series you'd recommend...

DBZ, Tenchi Muyo, Gundam, Ranma, Evangelion, good anime, really. But no one mentioned Yu Yu Hakusho?!

Come on, someone must know this fantastic anime?! In Japan it's one of the best sold manga(after DBZ...) Never heard of Hiei or Kurama (Youko)? Fine art work, cool battles, nice characters and even better storyline. Well, as you can see, I recommend Yu Yu Hakusho (Poltergeist report)
speed and fire, the most deadly combo; Hiei

Rurouni Kenshin ... Especially the Shishio part .
Kenshin OVA ain't too bad ... the sad story /tragedy kind of feel is what i like about it . The art , er, is not exactly good . Kenshin the Movie is way better , minus the bloody etsy bitsy stuff .
Evangelion . Not bad . But ... didn't see much . almost half of the entire series censored or missing .
The End of Evangelion is much better though ... well , kinda .
Flame of Recca : No story ... not much . High action .
But it can get boring after you see the blood spill here and there .
Overall , these anime are bloody . Expect to see bloodshed , average five minutes per scene.

has anyone seen Cyber Formula GPX?
although the beginning of the series isn't quite as good (animation wise) but the art work gradually picks up as the series progresses... it gets pretty good at the OVA series near the end, such as Cyber Formula SAGA and SIN...

My favourite anime would be Porco Rosso hehe
Go the red pig!! I guess anything by Studio Ghibli i love..although, Mononoke Hime didn't attract me too much, i loved it and all, but it still didn't get me like Porco Rosso did..although, i think Porco Rosso has to be the 1st anime where i love all the songs off the OST.
Cowboy Bebop, Macross Plus and Vision of Escaflowne are all good, considering that Cowboy Bebop is done by basically the same people as M+ and Escaflowne..plus Yoko Kanno is one of the composers i love, she is just too good.
You're Under Arrest! and Ah! My Goddess are great too, i don't know why, but they attract me a lot through the storylines.
Other than that, Ruruoni Kenshin, Love Hina and Ghost in the Shell are also good. For those who liked Akira should try and check out Spriggan..neo-tech stuff you might like. Memories is also good..bit freaky and weird..but you get that with anime's.

one of GAINAX's best..Evangelion is good, but not as good as Kare Kano :P

If anyone has the chance, try and get Kare Kano's opening song, one of the best

Tenchi Muyo wasn't THAT bad.. ok ok.. the series sucked I know.. =( buh Ryo-ohki makes it all worth while!!!
